I'm down for FTP.com, as long as we're playing with play money.

Matty1138 is the handle.

OK, FTP.com it is, I have it loaded & validatied.

Ha, looked up your user name & saw you at a couple of tables. Should we set a time & table to play?

Man, I'd love to join you fellow JD'ers for some poker.  I'm not that good playing against my relatives during our occasional family gatherings, but this can be a way for me to sharpen my skills.  The only problem is time which I don't have...   :(

Click on "Requests" then go to "Find A Player", it will open a window & enter one of our user names. We are at "Sit & Go". If a seat is not open, go on the waiting list.

Matt, Carp & I are in.  ;D

My user name is DSJCA.

You can also click CTRL + F, and that'll pull up the find a player box, too.

I'm down for a little poker on line with people from JD.  I'm Mikey D8105 at FTP.  Best times for me are usually early evenings.

I have been playing some poker online again, 250 sit & go. Mostley with 18 players & have been doing good thus far, won 1st place 5 times in 2 days.   8)

This hand was just the icing on the cake. I have KD, QC & the other player 10S, 9S. Flop comes & I hit a K & bet, he calls. Then the turn, a K. So I bet & he raises so I go all in & he calls. Blast, he flopped a flush so I think I am done. River card... a K. 4 of a kind.  :o  :o

As the game went on, I won that tournament.  ;D  8)

That's pretty amazing and exciting poker there!  4 of a kind on the river to win!

Help me on this:  Announcers/poker players are always talking about "outs".  In this scenario, how many outs did you have?  You could have won only if you got a full house or 4 of a kind.  That's assuming that he wouldn't be able to improve his hand on the river, and it doesn't look like he can.  So 4 of a kind is 1 K, and full is 3 8s, 3 As, and 3 Qs.  I'm thinking out loud by writing - 10 outs.  Am I missing anything?  Then they'll translate that to a possible winning % - 10 cards out of 52, so about 20% chance?  Close?

That is correct.  Its good to see that Pokerstars isn't the only site with bad beats on the river.   However, the guy with the flush should have gone all in after the flop.
