My bags were (temporarily) packed for me.
« on: January 9, 2004, 09:43 AM »
I didn't shoot the sheriff. And I only grazed the deputy. Nevertheless, I fought the law and the law won.

I found my bags (temporarily) packed for me, and left curbside.

Thanks for the new home / vacation condo.

Fantastic Scott. First rate all the way. The accommodations have been more than acceptable thus far. I’ve found this location to be both beautiful and peaceful. The staff has been especially welcoming.

My needs are few at the moment. Thanks for the welcome.

Angry Ewok, why do I hear the theme to “Cops” when I read your post? How do you do that? “Oss-ifer, I wuz jus typing uh reply... Whut?”

Sorry to hear you were a casualty of the cross fire, but I’m glad to be in such fine company. Perhaps a club is in order?

Hey Deanpaul!  Welcome to JD finally!  You're only 5 months late from when we got together here in L.A. and I invited you, but I'll forgive you...   ;)  See the misery you could have spared yourself from had you just joined the lightside a little earlier?   :D

We do have one requirement to membership here at JD, and that's that everyone must produce one stolen set piece from a major motion picture.  Hope you can work that out.  If not, I know where you can get some good advice on the subject...

I didn't shoot the sheriff. And I only grazed the deputy. Nevertheless, I fought the law and the law won.

Fortunately for you, you've found the right place here.  Our members enjoy taking potshots at the deputies around here.  Part of the fun!  Of course, we give it right back...  Heck, if Morgbug is still around here, then you know that you can get away with just about anything here at JD...  The deputies 'round here are pretty much unnecessary, and just part of the gang, so feel free to shoot us all you want.   8)

So welcome aboard, we're glad to have you!  Kick your feet up, relax, and enjoy!  Give us a shout if you have any questions or comments about the place.

- Matt

P.S.  Any more trips to L.A. planned in the near future?

For instance, just ask Matt about his sweater which is a joke that has died but needs to be brought back :-*

Don't listen to him Dp.  Scott's obsession with ICMG clouds his already feeble mind at times...  Just ignore him!

(that's a picture of him in his avatar, BTW)

I know, I know. Only 5 months late? I'm ... a ... very ... slow ... typist!

Ironically, I am headed back to sunny Cali on the 22nd. It's just a quick day trip to Mission Viejo via John Wayne. Wrong end of the Valley, although that has not stopped me in the past.  :) It will stop me this time. A different client is starting to get cooking (also Orange County) - if that goes well it could be a multiple day trip. Otherwise, the family wants to return to Pacific Beach when the water warms back up for a vacation. We spent 4 days there in September that were awesome!

Excited to be here. Finally.

Welcome to the funhouse Deanpaul!  Actually, this is a really friendly and knowledgeable group of collectors assembled here, so I'm sure you'll enjoy it.  Only place I ever bother spending my time!   Looking forward to seeing you around the joint.

Thanks to everyone for the awesome welcome. I love this place.

It's great to see familiar faces (Dale) and new ones as well - Grant and Kevin. I'm also fascinated that many of the same threads exist here that were in my exiled home - apparently started by the same individuals. While I cannot explain this phenomenon I'm enjoying it greatly. It's as if I've entered a mirror Universe, except instead of finding Bizzaro Superman here I've discovered he is from from my originating Universe.

See you all out in the forums!

Nice to see you here, Mr. Deanpaul. You should have a great time here, though there is no Survivor here.
