I love Community, but my vote goes to Happy Endings.

RIP, Happy Endings.  I loved that show.

Anyone check out Turn on Sunday night?  Rough go to be up against GoT for them, but I checked it out over GoT and watched the latter on In Demand then Monday...

I liked Turn a lot, actually.  Had a brutality to it most people don't often think of with the Revolution...  Not sure why other than I feel like the politics and birth of the U.S. tends to get the majority of the focus in schools over the military conflict itself...  That was my experience anyway.

I liked the show though.  Felt like the production was good, and I'm looking forward to next week's episode.

Jesse you are right on about politics taking the brunt of the focus in school and not the battles.  In Texas, our US history is heavily on the documents, strengths/weaknesses of each side, and the major leaders.  The only battles we really teach are Lexington/Concord, Saratoga, and Yorktown.  And we teach nothing of tactics...at least we aren't expected to.  When I was teaching US history I always threw in a little tactical doctrine over the course of the war.

Anyway, I DVR'd Turn and plan to watch it in the next couple of days when I can find some time.

We learned a lot about F&I war up here because it largely started and took place here...  We had an odd focus on that when I was young.  The Revolution, really practically skipped all combat and just focused on the documents, founding fathers, etc.

I never had a class on WWI, WWII, etc.  Seriously.  We got to the Civil War and that was usually where it ended.  Lot of focus on the Civil War though, not just the politics but combat, daily life, etc.  Both history teachers in my school were big into that and since I re-enacted at the time (signal flag kid) they used me heavily to bring crap in and talk about it.  I didn't even have to take the final.  :)

My gf's boys seemed to cover everything...  I helped both with WWI Trench dioramas which were their project for that era.  I should post the little dioramas we made in a weekend.  I guess that should be "we" made.  :-X

The boys picked it knowing I'd go giddy making crap for them.

That show is shot in and around Richmond here at some of the local plantations. The daughter of a woman I work with is on the effects crew, supposedly there is a good chance of a second season unless it bombs completely.

Historical fiction is not my bag, but it does have a lot of compelling elements, hope it does well for them.

After a long, long hiatus, The Boondocks returned to Adult Swim last night.  And people watched.  It was the highest-rated TV show in the 18-34 demo across all channels, broadcast & cable.

So Archer ends, and The Boondocks returns.  Nice transition.

Wow, surprised they resurrected that. Seems like a weird day and time for that show though, they really need to move all of their animated original programming to the Sunday night block.

Where's my new episodes of Squidbillies, Aqua Teen and Metalocalypse?

I think it was "in production" for a good, long while rather than being resurrected.  There was controversy with season 3 where they didn't air a couple episodes that were critical of BET.  That led to creative differences when they started on season 4, to the point where McGruder dropped out as showrunner.  And I speculate that what they did was wrap up what was already in progress to produce season 4, which they're calling the final season.  I'd be nice if these ratings prompt CN to reconsider that course.

It is, I never watch it live because it airs at the same time as "Falling Skies"...all 3 episodes should be available now.

del Toro is like the Official Mark of Quality to me, i generally love anything he is associated with.

The Last Ship is a great show.  Well worth watching if you haven't yet.

I watched the first two episodes of that and am not sure I wanna get back into it.  I was getting honestly po'd at some of the people's behavior on the show.  Not annoyed, but like wanting to punch someone for being such a jagoff.
