Hello Everybody,

I'm very happy to have found this forum. Everybody is so helpful
with a wealth of information.

Recently, I've been treading the waters for the vintage sw figures.

What exactly is a reproduction card? I've seen these in ebay, but
stayed away. Supposedly the original figure was used for display
only & resealed back into the blister. The only problem is, they are
missing their weapons. People are bidding such a high price for
these things, makes me wonder sometimes.

Thank so much &
Happy Valentines Day

Welcome to JD plutosmom.  Well you have a very interesting question there.  It all comes down to,

Reproduction = Fake! (Not Original)

There are many reproduction cards on the market now. Same go for the bubbles & the weapons.

The cards are printed with a scanner at home & the weapons can be made from plastic or resin. The bubbles are formed with a Vacuform machine.

There are vintage cards that go for high value so there are the repro guys that sell homemade carded figures at a small cost. Sometimes though, then can go for big bucks. Depends on the buyer"s".

There are even reproductions figures showing up on eBay like this fake Blue Snaggletooth!

BLUE SNAGGLETOOTH Star Wars Repro Figures!
Extremely good quality figures including gun

All the same, repro's are garbage.

Look forward to seeing you around the forum.  :)

Bloody hell is the guy who's link you posted a moron? He's asking people to pay a BIN of $72+ US for a repro blue snag when you can get a real one for around the same price? Fools and their money.....
