Well finally a slight update, I finally got more bookcases after a long ordeal with trying to find them. Two of the 3 are currently up, with the 3rd going up tomorrow, look for pics coming soon.

And pics have come. With the new bookcases up, I've started the long process of cleaning up my vintage collection and displaying them. Lemme tell ya it's hard work, you've gotta be careful cleaning up the vintage, would hate to ruin it. And many of the vintage playsets and vehicles had all these small nooks and crannies, where dust and soot just conglomerate. A q-tip however is your best friend for sure in that case. So far I've got my loose figures all displayed as well as maybe 60% of my vintage vehicles/playsets. The chronicle has been updated showing what I've got and here's a sneak peek as well...

Enjoy! :)

Fond of the original 12 eh? :) They just look so cool all together, I should have put the vintage back together years ago.

hehe that reminds me of when i was a kid and had to use those little plastic swords used for cocktails as lightsabers when i would lose or break them.

Updated once again as today I finished putting up my entire vintage collection (sans Death Star). By far getting the vintage displayed has been the best part of this experience. There was so much stuff to show, I started a whole new page to showcase the vintage...

Thanks for the kind words guys, I'm happy to share the pics of my room if for no reason other than you all get it. :) Pretty much none of my friends or family get the hobby so they dont understand when i say I got my Vintage displayed.

Jason,

Thanks for sharing.  There is just something about looking at vintage stuff, I can never look at them too much.  So many good memories associated with this stuff.

I know whatcha mean DBK. Not a day goes by that I don't take a few minutes to appreciate the collection. A bit weird? Yes, but very satisfying too.

The problem with America is stupidity I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself

No dice man, I learned long ago not to loan out my Star Wars toys to other kids, they'll go off and trade them to someone else for COPS or He-Man.

True story that happened to me once, I was so pissed.

Coming along nicely!  How much longer do you anticipate until you feel like you're close to a finished state?  Must feel good though just making some progress.  A lot of my collection is boxed up due to lack of space.  Hopefully I'll have some more space when we get a new place next year.

So what's with the vintage figure in the clear baggie in the top right corner?  Also, has your Max Rebo really faded that much?  Or is there something weird about that figure that I don't know about?  Haven't pulled my vintage one out in years, but hopefully it hasn't deteriorated in a similar manner.

Keep the ideas coming!
