Unemployed-For now. I have a shot at this job, where I'd work days of long, hard hours, but the pay off would be oh so sweet.

Well I'm no longer unemployed. I found an editor/designer position avaliable for a local newsletter. It's a big deal to me, the pay is really nice, but the best part is that the hours are completely up to me - AND I can work at home.

I also may be seeing some freelance work making ads for a local business (coffee shop), I hope.

Yay.

Congrats Brad - is this the one you mentioned on the phone?  Awesome!

As for me, I am a project director at a market research data collection company.  I manage projects that companies need done on new products that may or may not come out on the market.  Pretty interesting stuff.  Been there 10 months now, and got my review today - Overall Superior!  I was pretty happy about it.   Now, how about a $1000.00 bonus to help me buy the ROTS toys.   :)

Starting monday I'm going to be work for the City of LA, as a Clerk.  Tommorrow will be my last day of working at Vons, which was a okay job but wasn't something I wanted to keep on doing for years.  Hopefully I will pass my 6 months probation so I will be able to stay with the city for a long time.

Used to work at Michaels Arts and Crafts but since I quit I've been pretty swamped in schoolwork. This summer wasn't any bit of a break as I had many assignments to do for a class I'm taking this upcoming fall, but I do plan on focusing completely on school this year. No work unless I can get into Borders maybe Friday and Saturday nights.

I'm still pushing drugs.  It's a great job since I changed companies and am working with some much better people.  8)

This month marks my 13 and a half year mark for being in the Air Force.  I started out enlisted as a RADAR/Electronic Warfare specialist and worked my way up to the rank of Staff Sgt.

I finished my degree and went to OTS in 2002 with a change in jobs to Space and Missile Officer.  I'm in the 3rd year of my 4 year missile tour and hoping to do some work with satellites next, hopefully with the GPS constellation.  I'm currently a 1st Lt and next month I'll be promoted to Captain.
This is the way.

Fun job Matt.  Do you get to spend days on end with the SP's down in the silo's?  I never got the "joy" of missile field duty, but I did spend quiet a bit of time watching fighters sit on the flightline and checking ID's at the front gate.

Anyway, I teach 8th grade US History.  This is my 6th year doing that and for the most part I love it even though I'm beat at the end of the day.

I'm a bank teller!  Get to count and sort through other people's money all day.  Too bad none of it's mine!   :-\

Hey I do the same thing, sort of. My position is a little of that and a little of covering the manager's postion, which ever they need most. I get to travel a bit which is nice except when i'm stuck going to the ghetto...

If you think my current job is fun Chris....I'm really overselling it, but yes, that's what I do now.

I augmented the SF when I was in Kuwait and also up in Alaska after 9-11.  Nothing like being a gate guard at -45 degrees and counting rivets in KC-135's.  (There's 2,342 if you're wondering.)

Full-time at an insurance company, running a paper inserting machine for checks and claims.  Part-time at a major newpaper making plates to run on the presses.  And full-time father and husband.  Good thing about the insurance company is i'm all by myself and as long as the machinery is running properly i have time for myself to read, customize SW figures, or play on the internet.

Congrats on the new job, Tom.  Good luck with your probationary period, and hopefully it turns into a new career for you!

Well since I was finally able to relieve myself from retail completely, I have finally got  a job working for a software company at the help desk, trouble shooting the software for retail sites. Ironic isnt it?
