A Special value-pack will be available at Sam’s Club.

Huh?  What do you suppose they mean by that?  Maybe an OTC Falcon packed with a OTC Han and OTC Chewie?

Maybe an OTC Falcon packed with something else?

Hmmm... regardless, this is a must have for me.  I never picked up the 1995 version because I had the vintage one and was only collecting the figures and "new" vehicles.  I always kinda regretted it.  Now, I can change that by nabbing one of these.

I might even drag this sucker along with my vOTC Han and vOTC Chewie to work with me (since my argument to put it in the living room is going no where).

:)

I've kind of been thinking about picking this up as well, and I hope to.  I did get the POTF2 version on clearance, and had a vintage one that was passed down from my cousins to me, to my brother, and resides at my parents house.  I'm glad there are at least a few changes (light up back, bigger cockpit) to make it different from the POTF2 version I have displayed now.  I really like the idea that Jeff has mentioned having this new Falcon, along with VOTC Han and Chewie all displayed together.

I'm thinking you're right Jeff, a Han and Chewie add ons...or maybe they'll go all out and give up Luke, Han, Chewie, Obi-Wan, R2 and 3PO

Eh.  I'll pick it up of course.  I obviously would've loved an all-new sculpt and slightly larger scale of course (pipe dream, I know).  Nice to see they've made a few modifications to it though, so it'll at least be a little different from my vintage and POTF2 versions.  Not really thrilled at the prospect of owning 3 of these things now, but what the hell's a collector to do...   :P

As for Sam's Club, I'd guess the same thing Jeff already mentioned - just an OTC Han and Chewie packed in with it.  Hopefully it's nothing more exciting than that, 'cause I really don't want to deal with some bizarro exclusive issue here.

Of course, the VHTF POTF2 green carded Lando came from a Sam's Club exclusive 3-pack, so ya' never know...   :-\

It's nice to see this ship is the real deal and not some last minute OTC unremarkable rehash. Overall it's good they're finally getting the vehicle back in circulation - it has been a long time. I need to to pick one up for no other reason than my POTF2 version is actually yellowing.

I'm assuming that the Sam's Club pack will simply be carded figures shrinkwrapped to the carton.

Ding Ding Ding!

Looks like the obvious choices of Han and Chewie as the pack-ins is correct.

Eh, I can pass on the special pack since I've already got those two figures...

So I suppose these are going to be incorporated into the actual Falcon packaging, window-boxed or something, and not just an add on. If they are inside, I'm going to have a good deal of debate with myself about getting this to keep in the packaging or not.

At least it's not some exclusive figure type thing, even kit-bashed ones.

One thing that has been worrying me about the Falcon itself - the stickers from the POTF2 version. They sure aren't on the OTC one in those shots. I'm figuring there won't be any for this, which is too bad because the stickers added a lot of detail to the last version. There really hasn't been consumer-applied sticker sheets in a while, has there? What was the last vehicle to have them?

And is there a place that has archived hi-res scans of the sticker sheet that's available for DL?

Vintage Falcon:

PotF2 Falcon:

Just print them out and go crazy!

Lots of other Vintage and PotF2 sticker sheets are there too.  Another great place to go for Sticker Sheet DLs is gadders.com (mainly vintage though).

I haven't seen this at retail yet, but I have seen where some people have (there are some pics on the RS forums if anyone is interested).  Anyways, are any of you going to pick this up?  Although I already have the POTF2 Falcon, I was considering getting the new one since it looked like the new electronics, etc. might be kind of spiffy.  After seeing some of the pics, I'm not sure now.  The "redesigned" cockpit isn't as nice as I thought, and it looks like there is no "dashboard" anymore.  One of the pics at RS has VOTC Han in the cockpit, and it doesn't look as if Chewie is going next to him, but I could be wrong.  Anyways, are any of you picking this up, definitely not, or waiting and seeing?
