I'd be torn...  I'd want one if it looked "Star Wars", but if it had the team logo on it or something, forget it...

I'd officially pass on that and not feel bad.  :)  of course, I hate baseball, and would hate the headache of getting one anyway even if I liked baseball.

The Joe figure looks normal in that picture though...  Is it the final product or what?

Maybe it's just me, but I have no idea what the hell vac-metalized figures and mini-busts have to do (Let alone the clear bust ups at SDCC) with Star Wars...but I buy most of em anyway.

If the Twins had some exclusive R2 droid in their colors that I couldn't get because I wasn't

A: In Minnesota
B: 13 or under
and C: First in line...

I'd be mad.  ;D

The only thing about the metalized figures that attracted me is the way a complete set will look as a center-piece to a set of loose modern figures...

More an homage to the films than to figure collectors I guess.

The Baseball thing...  I dislike baseball enough to not care I think.  :)

If there was a similar situation with Star Wars - maybe only 2% of that 5000 would actually get to a kid.  :-\ I feel dirty.

The liberal crazies (like Kerry or KBZ ;)) are at it again...
The conservative crazies (like Bush or Dressel Rebel ;)) are at it again...
The Star Wars crazies are complaining about Hasbro again :)

I'm going to be defending my JediDefender Fantasy Baseball Championship Title against you next year in our 2nd annual season.

Pfft...I know people who can make things happen

Interesting talk radio this afternoon...they were saying how they think the Twins made this a story since they've been drawing like crap at the gate.  The Twins have received 100's of emails and calls in support and the Host didn't really know how this even got in the paper.  The Twins had to have told the paper that there was a guy complaining about the thing and now there will be national media there on Monday and probably 10000 more GI Joe freaks (I keed) now that they know that there will be a super rare Duke there

Giveaway went off without a hitch, a few groups of protestors I guess but for the most part people were happy to get a free toy
