Yes for points for a D TD, 6 just like a regular TD

Kick and Punt Return TD's also count for D (Special Teams TD's)

We'll have to see how Yahoo scores the D and ST TD's, there are two separate stats D TD's section in the scoring system and I just checked them both.  If it is double counting them I'll change it when the season starts

Nah, the season starts in 11-14 days depending what team you're on, and a broken bone barely forms the fibrous connective tissue matrix in that period, calcification isn't fully complete until the end of 4-6 weeks.  And that's if everything goes well.

If the break isn't severe many players often just put a cast on it and hit the field.

I know.  Hell, Jack Lambert played with a broken leg in the '70's.  If he's got a serious enough cast on, he can probably play.
