Circuit City is giving video games away...
« on: July 8, 2004, 11:54 PM »
So they've got a huge sale of games for $4.99, xbox, ps2, and gamecube.  I started a similar thread at the scum, but wanted to make sure people over here who might not have known or seen it found out.  The original thread is here: http://threads.rebelscum.com/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=862294&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=&fpart=1#862294

This week, for $4.99 each I managed to pick up:

Xbox:
Morrowind Game of the Year Edition
Clone Wars
Metal Gear Solid 2
Syberia
Secret Weapons over Normandy

Game Cube:
Mario Party 4
Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance
Resident Evil 2
Mega Man Network Transmission

Ironically, I almost paid like $40 for a used copy of RE2 two weeks ago - but now managed to get it new, plus hald a dozen other games for the same price.

Anyways - the pickings might be slim at this point as far as what titles are left, but they had a TON of games for 5$ in a big bin when I went tonight - and best buy seems willing to price match.

I just wanted to make sure everyone knew before it was too late - I think it ends Saturday night.

This is the original list that was sent to me - but it does not come close to including everything that is on clearance/sale - at least two of the games I got for 5$ weren't on it:

Playstation 2
Ape Escape 2
Armored Core 2
Black & Bruised
Bloodrayne
Bloody Roar 4
The Bouncer
Britney's Dance Beat
Breath of Fire: Dragon Quarter
Capcom Vs SNK 2
Clock Tower 3

Disaster Report
Disgaea: Hour of Darkness
Driving Emotion Type-S
Dynasty Tactics
Dynasty Warriors 4
ESPN NHL Hockey
ESPN Winter X Games Snowboarding
Freaky Flyers
Freestyle Metal X
Guilty Gear X
Gungrave
Haunted Mansion
Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb
Jungle Book: Rhythm N'Groove
Legends of Wrestling 2
Mega Man X7
Men in Black 2: Alien Escape
Metal Gear Solid 2 Substance
Metropolismania
Minority Report
Mobile Suit Gundam: Encounters in Space
Mobile Suit Gundam: Federation vs. Zeon
My Street
Mystic Heroes
Okage: Shadow King
Onimusha 2
Parappa the Rapper 2
Pryzm Chapter One: The Dark Unicorn
RAD: Robot Alchemic Drive
Resident Evil: Dead Aim
Roadkill
Robin Hood: Defender of the Crown
Robotech: Battlecry

Street Fighter EX3

Futurama
Marvel Vs. Capcom 2
Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance
Motor Tren Presents: Lotus Challenge
NFL 2K3
New Legends
Panzer Dragoon Orta
Pro Race Driver
Star Wars: Clone Wars
SWAT
ToeJam & Earl III
Voodoo Vince

Gamecube

Resident Evil
Sega Soccer Slam
Smugglers Run Warzones
Tetris Worlds

Game Boy Advance

Max Payne
Shining Soul
Super Street Fighter II Turbo Revival
Stuntman
Super Monkey Ball Jr.

Oh, and if by chance anyone comes across Resident Evil Dead Aim for PS2 or Toe Jam and Earl III for Xbox and could pick me up one, I'd be grateful.

A guy I ran into yesterday insists that the sale doesn't actually start until today, even though I've now bought 10 games for fifty bucks - he also said that for some reason if you could find a game on the list, they rang up at that price, but most stores pulled their stock to save until today.

So I'm going to go look into it this morning.
