Here's a GI JOE vehicle from the mid 1980s that looks kind of similar.  Hopefully we'll see a toy of the Juggernaut made...

Juggernaught's were the early concept sketches of the AT-AT for ESB.  Had 8 wheels, was about the same height (estimating that), and the EU's taken the Juggernaught and used it in some various stories as just a different ground vehicle the Empire employs.

I think it's an armored convoy type vehicle in EU terms, more than an attack vehicle or troop transport.

The film juggernaught looks somewhat changed from the EU one possibly...  May not even be the same vehicle in Star Wars terms, just similar.

It's just a female Ugnaught, with really big breasts.

LOL - Where the hell do you guys come up with this **** - I don't know which is more disturbing, the fact that you came up with these links, or the fact that I actually clicked them.   >:(  :D

Anything that is the same scale as an AT-AT is something that I'd be very interested in seeing as a toy.  Boo-yah!   :)

Ok, now GH has a list up of product (courtesy of Sithclan.net), and includes a list of basic figures.  Of course none of this is confirmed, so we'll have to wait and see...but judging by this listing, I count 44 basic figures (not counting preview).  Of course, on that list, there are doubles of Anakin, Obi-Wan, Grievous, Yoda, Palpatine, and Clones (which is ok).  Judging by the numbering (which may go by order of release for 2005), if those doubles are legit, they may be coming later in the year.  Anyways, click the linky above for the whole she-bang.

Looking at the list again, it looks as if some numbers are missing here and there in the "sequence".  Could still be some surprises coming up (not that any of this is confirmed anyways).  Going by those numbers, I'm guessing, in collection 1, that figures numbered 46 on will be later in the year, as well as 40-ish on in collection 2 as well.  Anyways, the number we have been hearing for launch day is 29, and if you count up what we know from collection 1, and insert 18-42 of collection 2, that comes out about right.  A possibility at least.

Not sure quite where this question fits, so I'll ask it here.  I'm trying to figure out how many figures will be released in 2005 in total.  Going from Brian's information in the preceding post, we're looking at 44 figures minus any deluxe figures.  Or are we looking at 66 figures as the numbers indicate?  If so, is that exclusive of any OT figures?  Or are the later numbers later because of a later in the year mix in of OT figures?

While I'm at it, how does the Jedi Starfighter qualify as a "large" vehicle?  Does that mean that larger vehicles won't be made (I know, cross pollination of threads)? And if so, why is there an AT-TE gunner figure but no AT-TE?

If there's a BARC speeder with BARC trooper (B-ARC?) does that mean there will be a BARC trooper without speeder bike?

Galactic Hunter has a pic up of a Palpatine figure, which looks to have a removable hood.  New pic that I hadn't seen before at least, maybe it is the "SECRET REVEAL!" figure :).

Yeah, I am thinking that is the secret reveal figure as well.

which looks to have a removable hood.

Is it a removable hood?  Or is it maybe one of those "turning heads" action features, a la Man-E-Faces from the He-Man line?

I wouldn't be surprised if one side of the head was Old Palpatine and the other side of the head was wrinkly Sidious with a little turny-wheel in the back to switch the faces...

I think you're right Jeff a Man-E-Faces type reveal thing is what I picture with a button or a wheel on the back

That could be...I don't really know if the hood is removable, I was just assuming I guess since I thought there was rumors of a "secret reveal" figure, and thought it might be the removable hood route.  The Man-E idea could be how it is as well.  Good call Jeff.

(snip)

087061328 E3 Basic Fig Asst C2 5.99

(snip)

Wait a minute, Target raises their prices to $6.99 for the post-OTC and I assume the Preview wave, then lowers it for the ROTS basic line?  Why?
Common sense isn't so common

Maybe someone realized they coud move them faster with a lower price?  Common sense I know but who knows with the retailers?

I was in KMart today, and while they had nothing in stock, they had some new stickers on the pegs in the Star Wars aisle... one said "Star Wars Animated  $7.49" which I'm guessing is the Clone Wars figures (although I didn't know they were that expensive) and the other said "Star Wars Preview  $8.19"

$8.19!?!?!?  :o  :o

WTF???
