New Darth Vader and Snowtrooper!

That's true and it's a real shame. However, to put a hopeful spin on it, maybe this Jedi Luke will a versatile enough version that it can be reworked in '04 to be an Endor Luke, by just adding a poncho and helmet, and a few minor pose adjustments.

They've done it in the past, and if we're lucky and get a definitive sculpt of Jedi Luke, I'd be ok with a couple rehash versions down the line. It would certainly be better than them re-releasing things like New Likeness Leia.

Good point.  I guess that would make for a decent alternative.  I still wish we could've just had one "Ultimate Jedi Luke" Deluxe figure, with all the trimmings (like the commemorative 100th figure in the 12" line for the regular Luke).  I'd pay the Deluxe $10 price for something real nice like that!  Wishful thinking, I know.

Hopefully there will be a few more loose shots of the new Vader at Toy Fair over the next several days, so we can get a better look at him in some different poses...

Nothing really impressing to me simply because it's just as good as the Bespin Vader. I'm interested in the articulation of the arms as everyone else is... I'll admit that if it turns out he's better artic'd than Bespin Vader I'll take him. If not, then I'll pass. I must say the Anakin head is nice though.

SnowTrooper ->
Bah, POTF articulation here. I wanted knee/elbow/wrist joints... hand articulation at least.
I'll probably buy it since I only got 1 of the POTF ones...

cool for their time
Vader head got updated on the evolution way, but still needs to be regularised in the flat rear side at the tvc line.
