Sweet. I'm hoping for a bigger tour than what's been announced so far.

I have GOT to find a way to get tickets to the Dallas show... their first time in Texas since 2003!

Anyone want to lend me their Ten Club info? :-*

Lightning Bolt is streaming online right now on iTunes...first thoughts:

Like Pearl Jam and Backspacer and unlike Riot Act and Binaural before it, my gut shot first impression was mostly positive
Ed rearranged Sleeping by Myself for the full band...it sounds AltCountry...totally caught me off guard
Absolutely dig: Sirens and Future Days
Really like: Getaway, Mind your Manners, Lightning Bolt, Infallible
Still growing on me: Pendulum, Yellow Moon, Infallible
Don't Care for: My Father's Son

Being the tenth studio album I've been thinking about how they go from 1-10.  Here goes:

Yield
Ten
Vs
Backspacer
Pearl Jam
No Code
Vitalogy
Lightning Bolt (As it stands right now)
Riot Act
Binaural

Gave a half ass listen last night and had it playing in the background and first impressions are very positive.  I absolutely love Sirens.  Will give it a deeper listen tonight.

Going to the Hartford shown on the 25th, first show of the tour is tomorrow.  Looking forward to my show and the reviews on the others.

So, so happy to see this. The St. Paul show seems the best for me.  :)

Gonna do my best to see them at ACL, especially if I can get press passes through work. They added the second weekend last year and tickets were really cheap since it's almost too much... hopefully that's the case again this year.

Question for anyone who's seen them in the last 5 to 10 years:
Pearl Jam is one of my all time favorite bands. "Black" is my favorite song of all time.
Having said that I think their, let's say pre 2000 stuff is brilliant overall, but their post 2000 stuff is only "good" overall. When they perform now do they do a nice mix of their stuff or do they "promote" newer stuff? I know they don't have any super recent releases so that maybe helps my cause.
Any thoughts?

Their last two albums have been fantastic.  PJ isn't one of those bands that plays the same set every night during the tour, every set list is unique.  They play their 'hits' for the casual fans, stuff from their new albums, but also deep cuts from their catalog for the die hards, along with a few covers (last time I saw them we got Eruption-Aint Talking About Love and it was nuts).  Highly recommend seeing them live, none of the shows I've been to hasn't disappointed.

You need to go...they tend to cover 1-4 songs from each of the albums with an emphasis on the latest (maybe closer to 4-5).  Mainstays like Alive, Even Flow and Black get played most nights.

I think the latest CD is solid, as has everything been post Binaural.  Seriously, you need to go, it is an amazing show.
