Dang. I just picked up Luke, Vader, and Yoda tonight, and now Lando and 3PO are out.

I like the OTC Yoda, except for the disturbing similarity between that figure and the Yoda from series 2 of the Tomy mini-dioramas.  Honestly, it looks like Hasbro saw this and said hey, great figure, let's make it

Like Jared, my VOTC Yoda is staying at home until his doppelganger shows up.

Not sure if anyone would want to get them via this route or not, but Yakface is reporting today that Luke, Vader, and Yoda (VOTC) are all in stock over at Amazon.com.  I was ordering some stuff for the Mrs. for her birthday, so I went ahead and tacked on a Vader to the order as well.  I'd usually rather wait for retail, but with Vader...for basically any version, I've never really seen it "sit" on the pegs, and I don't see us getting any here anytime soon, so I went ahead and ordered one.  Plus, from the reviews/comments I've been seeing online, the Vader is one of the VOTC that people feel is at least worth closer to the $10 pricetag.

Not sure if it has been mentioned elsewhere or not, but I cracked open the VOTC Lando, and the inside of his cape does have the pattern.  I know the first pictures made it appear as if it was solid colored, and not patterned like the POTJ one, but this one does have a pattern.  It isn't exactly the same as the POTJ one, but a little more detailed.  Nice surprise at least, Lando really turned out to be a great figure...probably one of the best of this line, at least so far.

C-3PO on the other hand, I wasn't real impressed with.  It isn't the worst thing ever, but I think I like the "Hall of Fame" (or MMC one) I just picked up a month ago a little better to be honest with you.  The detailing is very nice, but the pose is odd, and something is just wrong with the facial/head sculpt, at least on mine.  His mouth, lower face in particular looks strange to me.  Then again, maybe its just me.  Happy to have him either way, but not quite the "knocked out of the park" 3PO I was hoping for.

Wow, that is great news Bri.  I hadn't heard that anywhere, so thanks for the heads up, as that was the one thing about this figure that was really bothering me.  Don't even recall seeing a pattern on his cape when I looked at it down at Comic Con, but maybe I just didn't look too closely.  So that's some cool news, indeed!  Just brightened up my day.  Thanks!   ;)

EDIT:  I think I can barely make out the pattern in this shot from Hasbro:

I agree with mosnab about Threepio, a strange face to be sure.  I really like these figures though and am glad I opened them.  Too bad Leia doesn't have foot holes though because with those little feet, she has a tough time standing on her own. :-\

Thanks for the shots Scott, I was taking a few to put up for LandotheScoundrel...but yours look clearer than what our camera is probably capable of anyways.  It was a nice surprise that the pattern ended up being on there.  I think Lando might be one of the best figures of the line so far, honestly.

That Lando is awesome!!! A real, true "Galactic Pimp"! 8)

I'm so happy that Hasbro put a cool pattern on the inside of that cape. That truly makes this a sweet figure. I've got to get myself on the hunt for that guy!!!   ;D

Just picked up Lando and 3PO today.
I tried to find a 3PO that had his eyes painted straight.  I picked up the one that had the best eyes of the two, but alas, they're still a little awkward.

Perhaps I should check KB. I've had the best luck with them and VOTC figs...

Haven't seen any new VOTC here in two weeks, not since my lone Yoda sighting at TRU. Walmart this week cornered the market on wave 1, with each store seeming to have at least of dozen of each. I'm hoping that this is a positive sign, not a negative one, and that they'll continue to receive additional product, and not choke on their one big wave 1 shipment. Grrrr.

EDIT: Uh, I'll shut up now. Posted this, then went to check Target about the Slave 1, and found a 3P0 and Lando VOTC.  8)
