Chewie and R2 arrived today.

I'd open them, but I'm waiting for my case from EE to arrive so I can pick the better ones to open.

My Chewie got here today as well. What a great figure. Too bad the head can't move though.

Amusing occurence today that I thought worth sharing, since it's something I doubt I or anyone else may see again. Pegs full of VOTC. The picture is **** from my cellphone, but I think it helps with the Yeti/UFO sighting feel of the find:

That's 1 R2, 6 Stormtroopers, 4 Fetts, 6 Chewbaccas, 4 Landos, and 4 Vaders.

Those will cost you a measily 15 dollars a piece at the tragic kingdom.  ::)

Tragic indeed...  Tragic that these douchebags create false-demand blips and unnecessary middle-men situations over god-damned toys.

I've watched the same types go out of business in Pittsburgh (Creature Cantina go bye bye), or they've gone strictly to Ebaying now...  There'll always be the opportunists in the world, but finding a damned Chewie figure, or R2, or something...  And finding it at the local Wal-Mart or Target...  These simple things should never be this complex.   ::)

That's my point.  I have 5 already.  I just ordered two VOTC 3PO and 3 Gretzky variants.  Koda is sending me a Cheevers chase and locally I have yet to see any McFarlane Legends.  I owe you for the Sandcrawler and I'm still hoping to finish off the trilogo OTC for Juvy this month.  I want em, but I don't need to put out more money, especially with the holo Pred coming as well.

They haven't shown locally yet, so if I obtain more, I'll probably wait for my luck on that.  Ordering off Amazon makes them about the same price as locally after exchange and shipping, so I guess I'll pass.

I want to build a grand army of VOTC....

Ah, **** Amazon.

I just scored a Stormtrooper at Sam Goody for $13. I would have bought both there, but that would be greedy. Not to mention expensive.

At least this way, I can have two openers and one carded, whenever EE ships me my case.

I'm a bit more critical than you Dim, but even with my criticism I'm still pleased as punch with the figure.  It's great to me.

The VOTC are, for the most part, everything the line should be, and should've been from the start.  Great stuff, and figure bliss for me!
