I am honestly not sure, but if I had to guess...ummm...The Little Mermaid, Aladin, or Homeward Bound. I'm not sure though...

I have no idea really. The farthest I can think back to is Ms. Doubtfire, though I'm sure there was a Disney movie or two before that.

Return of the Jedi, during a 1984 rerelease.

So I would have been barely three years old.

First movie I remember going to see was "Herbie the Love Bug" back when I was a youngin. My Aunt and Uncle took me along with their 5 kids to the movies every Saturday afternoon, and we would always catch some kinda matinee that had nothing but Disney films. I remember seeing Mary Poppins, Nutty Professor (with Jerry Lewis, not Eddie Murphy), the Cat from Outer Space, and dozens of others.

The first movie I remember going to see without my parents, just my friends and I was Karate Kid (1984?) and we had to sit all the way up in the front row, because the theater was packed.

Mine...Pinocchio, which I can't figure out.  I don't think it was rereleased in the 70's anytime, so it must have been one a Movie theater screened on its own.  Still remember the whale scene pretty vividly and my mom using the be a good boy or you're going to grow a long nose trick on me.

Heh, that's back in the old days Scott, before there were VCRs, or have you forgotten that.  The only way to see a movie was at a theatre.  Or if the school brought in a movie.  Like the LIttle Drummer Boy every year at Christmas?

Honestly I cannot remember that far back anymore as to what the first movie was :-\  It might have been Sound of Music, possibly one of the Herbie movies or maybe Mary Poppins.  I think it was either the first or last in that list, not sure why.

First movie I attended at a drive in was Live and Let Die, cool flick, but voodoo guys scared the crap out of me for years.

First movie I went to without family was Phantom of the Paradise.  There was a cool theater only about a mile from our place and we went and saw it over and over again.  Still enjoy it much more than Rocky Horror, mostly because of the memories.

Hmm........Bambi (I think).  If I went to the movies, it would have to have been to a Disney one and that's the one I remember since I cried like girl when the mom was shot (oh wait...I am a girl  ;) ).

Of course, I do remember seeing Chitty-Chitty-Bang-Bang also....but I think I am dating myself here so I'm not saying anymore... :-*

1984 was the year I went to my first movie by myself...great year for movies too

I believe my first one was Temple of Doom, but I also remember seeing Karate Kid, Ghostbusters, Gremlins with my buddies that summer

1985 was not too shabby either Back to the Future, Goonies, Teen Wolf and Rocky IV

There's a big blur of seventies stuff that included Close Encounters, Rescuers, (and 1st run Star Wars was a blur, too -- lots of people yelling and cheering, that's what I remember more) and a bunch of Disney rereleases like Snow White.

But I vividly remember Watership Down. I really remember sitting there seeing that and comprehending it. Probably shaped my pessimist attitude for years to come:

All the world will be your enemy, Prince with a Thousand Enemies, and when they catch you, they will kill you. But first they must catch you.

Ok actual movie to see was "The Sting" at a Drive In while sitting on the Roof of my Grandparents Crysler, I think I made it to the opening title, fell asleep and almost rolled off.  I only remember sitting up there and falling asleep, I was told of the roll off.

IN-Theater movie would be "The Boatniks".....Talk about some Cinema Magic.

Not exactly sure, I was around 3 or 4. It was either this one:

... a.k.a. The Last Days of Planet Earth- Toho film which features a freaky scene with these big-head, radiation mutants fighting over a worm to eat.

Or maybe this one:

“Man With the Golden Gun” is another possibility.
