I still remember the summer of '89 very, very fondly

The big Batman-related incident I remember from then? The year Cinnamon Crispas got the axe at Taco Bell in favor of Cinnamon Twists.  >:(

Oh, and yeah, all 4 (gack) Batman movies are supposed to be put together with new transfers for Batman, BR, and BF in an SE set before the new movie.

The Shining and most of the Kubrick movies are in a strange limbo at the moment. There's a longstanding dispute over director's intentions of framing for home video and the fact the movies (including The Shining) have been released twice already on DVD, once early on, and then with remastered video, even though they still suck. I would kill for a decent Full Metal Jacket.

Picked up Aladdin and for those 10 minutes a day when it's not playing on TNT, Shawshank Redemption.  Don't know when I'm going to get a chance to watch them though with playoff baseball starting in about three hours.

Does anyone know if the movie Blue Lagoon is on DVD?

Kevin

Yep.

Spank you very much.

I saw it on TV, and I figured it needed to be in my DVD collection.

I saw that too, and that's good news.  It seemed ridiculous waiting a year between each release, especially with how many seasons there are to come out.  That said, I'm not exactly "caught up" with what is out anyways.  We only own Seasons 2 and 4 so far ;).  Glad to hear that 5 will be out around Christmas though.

Going to pick those two up myself this week at some point.  Anyone see any better prices than $15.87 on them anywhere?

I saw it on TV, and I figured it needed to be in my DVD collection.

I bet, Kev!   :P

Spank you very much.

Exactly.

But you might want to go with Phoebe Cates in Paradise instead.  Much more spank spunk "bang" for the buck.   ;)

Picked up Aladdin and Seasons 1 of the Simpsons and BTVS for a whopping $16 CAD each :o  Hoping later seasons eventually come available at same prices in the future.

Oooh! I'm gonna pick up Uncle Buck and Bowling For Columbine.
Maybe Predator 2 and Point Break for those nights that I want mindless entertainment.

Really glad to see Season 5 coming out so much quicker than the other releases.  Good Christmas gift ;).  Also, I see that Amazon has a number of Fox Series' Season 1 sets on sale for $14.99.  Included are Simpsons, Futurama, King of the Hill, 24, Angel, etc.  Tempted to get the Simpsons one, although the earlier episodes aren't quite as fun to watch sometimes.  Good deal though...here's the LINKY
