Picked up the following recently:

HERO
Once Upon a Time in the West
Meet the Parents
In Living Color (season 2)
Bunch of Black Friday Discount DVD(s)

HERO is absolutely and amazing movie, I am still bummed that the quality is so grainy!

Jared, so what's the deal with Gilmore and Billy Set?  I have heard rumors that Gilmore looks zoomed in on?  How would you compare it to the full frame version?  What are the major extras?

Speaking of Superbit, is the quality of the picture and sound a noteable improvement over Standard Versions?  Why so few releases.  The last thing we needed was a Bad Boys 2 Superbit before several thousand other movies.

Can anyone point me to a comprehensive list of movies that have been made on DVD?

Regards,

DBK

Soooo...

Who's biting on Volume 1?  A fool and his money :-X

I would guess they'd do some sort of Vol 1/Vol 2 box set but we'll see

Yeah, it seems crazy to buy it now when they'll have all 3 seasons on DVD in maybe 6 months?

Yeah, there probably will be some sort of a bundle when Season 2 hits DVD as well....but knowing me, I'm sure I'll pick it up as soon as it comes out.  I have really enjoyed this "micro series" and it would be nice to have it on DVD.  Hopefully it will be a little cheaper than the $20 price they mentioned on SWShop, since it is just a little over an hour's worth of watching.  Something more in line with the $9-$10 price the Droids/Ewoks DVDs are selling for sounds good to me.

I already have the Clone Wars DVD of season 1 & 2. I picked it up at a toy show, very well done.  8)

I've got a copy as well - but it came from the internet and we just burned them.

I'll probably throw it away and buy the real thing if the price is right.

As for today, I picked up:

Dodgeball
Bourne Supremacy
Warriors of Heaven and Earth

I also traded in 10 crappy movies and am going to use the credit to pick up the Alien boxed set since I missed it for some reason or another...

So tomorrow is another big day:

LOTR:ROTK:EE
Top Gun
Mary Poppins (yes I'm not kidding)
Collateral

I'll pick up the Clone Wars set. If they bundle the 2nd season later, it won't be in a repackage, or for a significant price drop. So why wait? 2:25:1 anamorphic with 5.1 audio smokes the hell out of the discs burned from quicktime video files.

Hey, I thought my disc was pretty nifty...   :-\

Already picked up LOTR:ROTK EE, I Robot, Collateral, and a few others. I think I'm gonna have to stop till Christmas (not that it's not far now) just in case, hopefully to eliminate the need to return a few things. But it's probably too late already.

Kinda sucks they don't accept debit cards.

But I ordered with one anyway, though I didn't get an order number.

It was worth a try, and if they don't accept it, to hell with them.

I ordered with my debit card and received confirmation.  I have used it before in cases where debit was not accepted and it went through fine as a credit card.

I ordered one - it seems like the real deal.

I picked up Return of the King and Collateral today.  Also in the last few weeks I traded in a bunch of crappy movies that I'll never watch again and landed:

The Alien Quadrilogy
The Blind Swordsman:  Zatoichi
The Omen - boxed set
From Hell - 2 Disc
Blood Simple

All in all I'm thrilled with the deals I got.

Also picked up Dodgeball and Warriors of Heaven and Earth last week.

...Warriors of Heaven and Earth last week.

Yeah, that's one that I've been meaning to pick up. When you get a chance to check it out, let me know how it is.

I picked up an R2 disc of 'House of Flying Daggers'  the other day - awesome, awesome film. Must see in my book, just as good as Crouching Tiger and Hero. The fight scene in the Bamboo forest is simply amazing, one of the best fight scenes ever put to film in my book.
