Not to mention: what do you think would happen if someone posted a thread at RS joking that Phil had died?

hmmm... let's try it!

Oh I'm sorry if I hurt your sensibilities gentlemen. I was just curious, as to the previously closed down thread in which you all took your jabs in, one of the main arguments was the fact that all the threads here were of high quality and substance. And yet I see this thread, and I think to myslef, now this is not a high quality thread. It actually seems kind of like, how should I put it, a post padding thread!!! Anyhow don't get your boxers in a bunch, I was just trying to poke a lil fun at the air of superiority there is around here!!!  Just so we are cool, here is a lil  :-*

Great story Morgbug, but it was missing something that's apparent in all internet communities, the love interest! Come on everyone knows about the sultry underside of the Star Wars collecting community, one day it's tale can be told.

I don't remember everyone saying that every thread here was full of substance.  It's not like this is the library or a funeral home.

on another note, special congrats to Morgbug.  After a rocky start, this ended up being a reasonably sucessful endeavor.

actually, my original post before I went back and edited it was my satire of what would probably happen if we were mod'd by the staff of RS.
I'm still trying very hard to be nice, but it's getting more and more difficult.
You are starting to damage my calm.

You'd be ordered to make every thread an "official" one while locking all other discussions, post in threads even if you don't have anything to add but "very nice!", edit people's remarks without notification of why/when, and never deal with "problem" members unless they criticize the site or its staff?

that's not satire, it's honesty...  Or were you really going for satire? :)

One of what I thought was my funnier remarks was when someone said one of the "better mods" should come in and do something within a thread, and I said that "Apokolips doesn't have that power anymore".

I don't think anyone saw it, or they didn't get it...  Or I thought it was funnier than it was.   :-\

Well, place where it's best to be serious is what I was going for.

But then again, you already knew that.
