Yeah, I thought those figures were tempting as well.  I started to look into more DC Direct stuff until news broke that Mattel was going to get the license for the entire DCU.  Now I'm hoping to build my JLA (and Batman universe) from that line.  With very nice versions of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Aquaman (and Nightwing, a personal favorite) already done, and figures like Hawkman, the Flash, and a rumored Green Arrow/Black Canary wave on the way - we should have a good start there as well hopefully.  These figures do look pretty spiffy though.

But a little more articulation would have helped

It's for this reason I can't get into DC Direct's stuff.  Most of it looks really nice, but the combination of limited articulation and stiff poses sucks away all the excitement me.  They do make some interesting characters though, no question there.

Has anyone seen any of the Watchmen figures in stores yet? Not sure when they come out up here, may have to check the local comic book stores.

They're up on the TRU website. All of them are in stock except Dr. Manhatten. I guess they are also getting an exclusive "Unmasked" Rorschach figure.

Nothing showing up on our toysrus.ca site thus far. If it's listed in the US site then hopefully we will have it listed up here or maybe they will hit the TRU shelves before the movie release this week. I'll have to keep an eye out.  :-\

I found the 1st series of Watchmen figures at Spencers. $18.99 a whack, though. I've heard that these are showing up at TRU as well, and they're getting series 2 as well.

I found the Watchmen Series 1 figures at our Zellers of all places, they only had 4 Rorscach's, 1 Ozymandias & 1 Silk Spectre. No other places I heard had them yet so I picked up those 3, still need Nite Owl from that set. $19.99 CDN, ouch.

Picked up Dr. Manhattan at my LCS. I also found out there's a variant of him that's in a translucent plastic, but it was $5 more so I stuck with the regular one.

I picked up Series 1 Nite Owl to complete that set, now on to Series 2 if they ever come out here. Not really interested in the variants but if they show up, I may get them.

I found Series 2 of Watchmen yesterday at a comic store at West Edmonton Mall, the prices were not inflated so I picked them up plus I got the variants of The Comedian & Dr. Manhatten which I did not expect to find at a good price. Now all I need is the Rorscach variant & I'm done, I may have to hit the bay for him.

Edit: Rorscach variant in the works.  8)
