Oh lets face it. We went to the moon and there are no aliens telling us what to do. It's fun to think otherwise but the truth is we were there and we havn't gone back because of the ****** politicians we keep electing. If the government would give NASA just 10% of the militaries budget we would be at Jupiter's moon Europa by now. However it's still amazing what they have accomplished with the tiny budget they get.

Sept. 3, 2012, 5:53 PM EST
LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Michael Clarke Duncan's fiancee says the Oscar nominee for "The Green Mile" has died while being hospitalized following a July heart attack.

Publicist Joy Fehily released a statement from Clarke's fiancee, the Rev. Omarosa Manigault, saying the 54-year-old actor died Monday morning in a Los Angeles hospital after nearly two months of treatment following the July 13 heart attack.

The 6-foot-5, 300 pound Duncan appeared in dozens of films, including such box office hits as "Armageddon," ''Planet of the Apes" and "Kung Fu Panda," Duncan had a handful of minor roles before "The Green Mile" brought him an Academy Award nomination for best supporting actor.

The 1999 film, based on the Stephen King novel of the same name, starred Tom Hanks as a corrections officer at a penitentiary in the 1930s. Duncan played John Coffey, a convicted murderer.

I missed this one until I read SI this week.  Tom Sims.  Not really a celebrity in the broadest sense but still deserves to be noted.

RIP, Commander Jeffrey Sinclair

Not the greatest actor in the world, but a well-loved member of the show who will be missed.

:( Wow. Seems like the B5 cast suffered more premature deaths than any Trek series has. The actors who played the doctor and G'Kar also passed away in the last decade.

And don't forget Jeff Conaway, who played Zack Allan.

I mentioned Hagman to my wife this morning and she asked if he was shot  ;).  In all seriousness, RIP to an icon of American television.

Wow, I hope they wrapped Season 2 already, or they are going to have a major mess on that show.

I didn't even hear about this one with all the holiday brouhaha. My favorite non-Dallas role of his was in Blake Edward's SOB. Great flick.

Add also Deborah Raffin (Galaxy of Terror!!!) and Hector "Macho" Camacho to this list.

They always come in threes!
