I rarely care about this thread but this sort of was a bummer.  She was always a favorite of mine on ST:TNG as her appearance always meant for a more relaxed/funny episode.

"Mr. Woof, get my bags".  Hah.

She also played a Centauri on Babylon 5 once...a very powerful episode.

Just saw this on Bloody Disgusting:

Eartha Kitt, sultry 'Santa Baby' singer, dies
"The good news is that all that blood is actually ketchup. The bad news, however, is that all that ketchup is actually blood."

I wonder if Harvey Villachez met him at the gate wearing the white suit.   :)

Gerry Niewood, the saxophonist from Chuck Mangione's band, was on flight 3407, which crashed outside Buffalo NY.  There are probably only a few JDers who are old enough, or like Jazz enough, to remember him, but he had worked with Mangione for essentially the last 40 years, in particular the time around Bellavia.

Liam Neeson's wife Natasha Richardson is all but dead after suffering severe injury while skiing in Canada. She's officially brain dead and is being transported back to the US before being taken off life support.  :-\

That's terrible for Neeson and their family.  Sudden stuff to someone relatively young is always a tragedy.

What a shame.  I also heard last night that Ron Silver passed away recently after losing his battle with cancer.

I heard on the radio this morning that Neeson left the set to fly to see his wife because of an injury but didn't realize it was this serious.  Wow.

I feel sorry for Neeson and his family hopefully somehow she pulls through.  Unfourtantely it sounds like this is just a  move to get the family time to say goodbye then turn the machines off.
