That is out of control. I would think twice before paying that much for that figure and it is Tri-Logo to boot!! That is crazy....

Actually, it's not a Tri-logo.  It's a Japanese card, which is just a U.S. card with a large Tomy sticker on the back.  I've gotten a few of these cards in the past, and usually that huge white Tomy sticker on the back peels right off, no problem - giving you a perfectly standard U.S. carded version.

The Battle Amidalas have been floating around the $30 range on eBay for quite a while now, as it's one of the last two pieces I need to get my entire collection back to complete.  I've been searching for one for a while, but rarely do they ever even fall below $25 or so.  I'll keep waiting...

I have trouble justifying that amount of cash on a very dull figure.
I will have to get her eventually (somehow), but for what she is I think she is way too expensive anyway.

it's quite sick. The only reason that the fig sells for this price though is becasue people are willing to buy it. When the phaze dies off, we will all be able to get the figure for a decent price. don't give into the dark side ;)

seriously though, if you don't want to pay high, out of wack prices, just don't. if no one buys it, then they can't sell it. eventually, it'll be attainable.

The figure actually isn't that bad, though I already had that figure, just minus the gun, which annoys me. I find this to be the case with a couple of the ep1 figs. Obi, Qui-gon, Darth, and Anikan figs were all so very similar, yet they were "new" figures. This is the case with the amidala, as its the same outfit as the ummm, naboo one? Can't remember the other figs name. All that is different though is the GUN!!!

I will hold off until I find someone who wants to sell it for a decent price.

EDIT - unlike on RS, you can't post the pound sign here :)

What surprises me is that this figure has held its value pretty good over time.I'm still waiting for the day when she can be picked up at a decent price so I can have a loose version. It may never come from the looks of it.I paid $20 for mine about a year ago.I considered it a fair deal then because she was the last fig I needed to complete my EP1 set except for the pit droid 2-pack.

This is the only figure I need to complete my standard Episode I collection, but I refused to pay a high price for it.  If this fig was released near the beginning or middle of Episode I's run, it would have been warming the pegs for months or in some cases, still will be. (A TRU near me still has a row of clearanced Nute Gunrays for sale.  The only activity on these has been moving them from the clearance section to the Star Wars section)

I am never going to get one of these.  I still need a lot of EP1 figures because I got ripped off ont he internet.  Yesterday I was so close to getting the TC-14 and R2-B1 for 10 each but the shipping was 9 and I couldnt do that.  I know I will be kicking myself in the ars for that but I am getting married in 2 weeks and i can't afford that right now.  Oh well, such id the collectors life.
