These fine folks were appearing at Wizard World East in nearby Philadelphia.  Each autograph cost $20, but it was definitely worth it to get Daniel Logan.  He routinely charges $40 per signature.

I just noticed we had two seperate threads about collecting Star Wars autographs, so I merged 'em up!  (sorry wai)   ;)

As for me, I don't have too many really, but I think I was probably one of the very first people ever to get the set of autographs from the "Men Behind the Masks" tour.  It was LONG ago (around 1994?), at a huge Sci-Fi/Fantasy collecting convention here in Pasadena, and I believe it was the VERY FIRST appearance ever for the Men Behind the Masks tour (can't recall the date now).  I was absolutely stoked at that time, and immediately pre-paid the $60 to get the full set of 5 guys on a nice 8 x 10 glossy of them (unmasked/not in costume if I remember correctly).

So I got Dave Prowse, Jeremy Bulloch, Kenny Baker, Peter Mayhew, and Warwick Davis.   8)  I've since been to a number of conventions with SW autograph signers, but for some reason this subset of collecting didn't really take to me so much (probably due to the $20+ a pop to get most of the signatures, and the long lines often involved to get them).  I considered picking some up at C2 with that nice package deal they had, but just never had the time to get around to it...

I also recently got a Kit Fisto autograph as well, from a good buddy, thrown in as a free "extra" in a trade.  Thanks, you know who!   ;)

I just got a couple of theatre wides from c2ventures
Amy allen
Ray park
David prowse

I think it's a bit of a rort that these guys charge for their signatures.
I mean the fans are the ones that make them popular and then they charge the fans for the privilage of getting their signature
I remember a day when it was a sign of gratitude from the actor/ress  that they gave an autograph not another way to make money.
The problem with America is stupidity I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself

One thing to bear in mind with Star Wars actors:  they don't make a boatload of money.  Lucas has never been one to highly compensate the talent.  In fact, some of the guys who played EPISODE II era Jedi weren't even actors, but crewmembers who were enlisted for the parts because they fit the costumes properly.

Ok
Thats all well and good but i'm sure that if any of us got the chance to be in a starwars movie and then goto a convention to meet our fans we'd be more honored than thinking hey a chance to make more money.
When we had Supanova out here last September we had David Prowse , Peter Mayhew and Matt Sloan come out now they were all great to talk to and meet and had some cool stories , but the 8 x 10's they were signing were $40 and the theatre wides were $60
For them to sign my item was $25, now i took my cousin to this and he only works part time at maccas whilst at uni so he's not rich, he had thoughts of getting vaders and chewies autographs on a book of his that he got just for the convention did it happen well yes cause i paid for it but the point was he was dissapointed that the people he idolised were going to charge him for getting their autograph.
Now i guess it could be argued that people will buy and sell these things so they must charge money , but the amount of money that was in David Prowse's assisstants' hands was scary.People were lining up with lots of items to get signed and were handing out lots of money.
When i got home and told my family i paid for an autograph the first thing i heard was "Rip Off".
I had to justify it by saying these guys were there for the fans , but then shuoldn't they be doing it for the fans not the money????
End Rant

Sounds like they were fleecing you.  Those prices are very inflated.  Most shows charge much less for autographs.
