Yeah, I know, I just thought I'd begin the pain sooner rather than later. :'(

And you know what, I'm  gonna do it your way, because I'll probably forget to add it when they finally get around to shipping them out.

This whole thing is getting WAAAAY out of hand already. We're only 4 days into the new year and I've spent close to over $2000 already  :o - $2065.59  :-\

That's almost half what I spent all last year, and we're only 4 days into the new year... ugh, I gotta go lie down for a minute. My head is spinning.

Aw, don't feel too bad for him, he's mostly taking advantage of his being too busy last month to pick up the stuff that should have had him finishing ahead of me.  He'll be fine in a day or two.  Off to SSW.com......

I'm participating again this year as well. I also started a similar thread at RS to get those guys involved in this effort.

I have to run home tonight and check out how much I spent last year, but I KNOW it was more than I estimated. I'm hoping to spend less than that this year, because I really should be saving my money for more important things (like getting married).

However....only time will tell.

My 2005 estimate:  3500.00

Well, now that I know most of Master Replica's* items for 2005, I think it is safe to assume I will spend another five grand or so again this year. :-\

*(7 mini sabers, 4 lightsabers and a blaster... there goes half the budget right there!!).

Guess it's time for me to get one going for this year. With Star Wars being the sole line I'll probably collect this year, I don't know that I'll eclipse last years total by much, if at all. So a conservative estimate will be $4000 for the year. Certainly no more than $5000, I hope.  :-\

January
1. Darth Vader Unleashed and cheap Target Leia collector cup - $18.61

You talking about last years total? Yeah, more than 1/3 of my total from last year came over the last 3 months. I'll have to be slowing down that pace or I'll be in real trouble.  :-X

This year I'm actually going to try to participate.  I anticipate less spending as I have given up Prequel collecting and gone OT exclusively.  Except for the odd fig here and there ;)

January:

3 Cantina figs from Nataku - $29 US shipped
Blue Snag from Ebay - $97 US shipped  :o
Gretzky Legends fig Walmart - $11.50 CAN
Shipping for 2 trades - $26 CAN
2 R1-G4 figs Ebay - $21.50 US shipped

I can see now that this is going to be a little scary.  In my efforts to catch up on the OTC, I currently have no less than 26 figures coming in the mail, a mix of OTC and VOTC.  Because they're coming from 4 different people and likely arriving on 4 different days, the cost won't seem so bad when it's split up between those 4 days.  But when I start totalling it all on paper...  :-X

Don't get too worried, I usually get three boxes a week on average.  But it will be scary, no doubt about it. ;)

The problem with America is stupidity I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself
