“God willing, we will behead him if our female and male prisoners are not released from U.S. prisons within the maximum period of 72 hours from the time this statement has been released,” the statement from the “Mujahedeen Brigades” said.

Now, does this make them terrorists, or merely customizers?

I wonder who actually did do thatt scene some person somewhere in the world far remove from the Militants or some of the actual militants.  I saw the picture yesterday and thought it didn't look right the way the gun was being pointed at the "soilder's" head.  I like the name they give him John Adams.

The gun completely ruined the pic - as soon as I saw it, I knew the pic was a fake. The soldier's head should have been bagged, too, as it really doesn't look too realistic -

I feel weird critiquing this.

I wonder if they will use the Boil and Pop method for beheading?

Looks like that hostage has some pretty good articulation!

“Ffurg willing, we will behead him if our female and male action figures are not released from U.S. Walmarts within the maximum period of 72 hours from the time this statement has been released,” the statement from the “Mujahedeen Brigades” said.

Have you seen Dragon figures?  Well, outside of being used as hostages anyway...

They're incredible.  ;D

I think the best part was the guy from DML USA saying it was a compliment to him that so many people thought it was real.  It was on the Daily Show last night and got a pretty good laugh from Stewart...

He then went onto say, "No!  You removed it from the box and now it has no value!!!"  :)  Classic.

A quote that was stolen from The Simpsons. :)

As for the toy, I think we should call Buzz Lightyear.

I actually think that's kind of wrong for making fun of a situation like that. I don't care if you're against the war and all, but making fun of how people were gutlessly murdered like that, just wrong.

Kind of like when some NYC DJ played some sort of song making fun of the Tsunami. Total lack of class and respect.

Perhaps the terrorists finally got somebody with half a brain in their organization and realized they could get better attention/reaction if they took our STUFF...Imagine the public outcry if they were able to capture all the Hot Wheels, Barbies and Starbucks Coffee beans?  Or the Gone With the Wind Collector Plates and all the fine Chess sets from the Franklin Mint... ;)

All sarcasm aside....

I am a recovering Dragon-aholic myself.  If you think a loose or carded Star Wars figure collection takes up a bunch of room, try an entire squad of 12 inch figures.  But at $30+ per figure, when my daughter came along, it was a really easy habit to give up...I wish somebody would capture the 50+ dragons I still have, I need room for all the stuff we brought back from Disney World...
