Reproduction Dagobah Foam Swamp?
« on: February 9, 2005, 10:58 PM »
Does anyone make a reproduction foam swamp for the vintage Dagobah playset?  The one I have is just about gone and what's left falls apart very easily and I would like to replace it.
Any help is appreciated.

I'm sure you could go to an arts and crafts store like Michaels and find brown colored foam very cheaply. Then all you would have to do is cut the foam to the proper shape and you'd be all set. I don't know offhand though anyone who makes repro foam though, sorry.

Most people just make their own like CorranHorn mentioned. Surprisingly, my original foam is still intact.

Ok, that's probably what I will have to do.  I'll let you know how my swamp turns out.

Thanks!

Whatever you do.  DON"T TOUCH IT!

I touched mine that was still intact and a piece just fell off.  It looked ok, but is really a mushy mess. :-[

I'll probably find some replacement foam at Michaels or somewhere else.  I'd really like to put an R2 in it for display. :D

Yeah i am pretty careful with it. I think it is still intact cause it has never been played with.

I had got a Dagobah set last year, and the foam was intact but had a very "wet" look to it.  Well, out of sheer curiosity I touched it and part of it just broke off.  Weird and kind of hard to explain.  It's almost feels like it built up moisture and made it very brittle.
