I didnt' read the "instant karma" thread until now and I'm sorry to hear about both your accident and the fact that it's caused you to pack up and move on from things.  Hopefully it'll be a good thing for you.

Most importantly though, I'm glad your family is ok.  Whether or not you collect plastic toys or hang out on web message boards frequently anymore is insignificant next to that. Good luck!

Sad news from a community standpoint, but good on you and your new priorities.
Best of luck!

Hey whst the heck.

I'm taking a break from JD for a while and then this happens.  ???

It is indeed sad to se Scot leave this place, but hopefully he will pay a visit from time to time.

But what's all that with a car accident? Was Scott seriously in a car accident. If so hopefully he, mrs. Pearson and both YCBs (Young Cocky Bastards) ar allright.

Sincerely
-Henrik

You are definitely one of the good apples, Scott, and this community is all the proof we need of that.

No one here can say you haven't given enough public service. It's time for you to enjoy some of what you've built, both on the net and with your family. You've earned it.

Scott, I don't know you personally like so many others here at the boards do, but I can thank you for actually giving me a forum to discuss SW stuff with like-minded people after many years of questioning if one would ever exist.  So thank you for that.

I'm not the sentimental type, but I do wish you and your family the best of luck in the future.  Going by your history and reputation, you seem to be a wonderful person and you deserve nothing but the best.  Fare thee well, OCB, fare thee well.

Like Jeff says, I'll still be around.  I need to make sure I'm around to kick some ass in the JD Fantasy Leagues!   :)

Sorry to hear about your accident, but I'm glad everyone's injuries were minor.  I almost got killed in an accident, I pissed myself on impact and it felt really warm on my legs and then I blanked out.  My seatbelt saved my life and the insurance company of the old hag that hit me bought me a new car.

So, shall I set up the JD Fantasy Baseball League this year with the same categories and points criteria as last year?

Oooh - sign me up for the baseball league - while I'm no expert, I'd probably fair better than I am at Basketball - and let the record show I've clawed my way from 9th place to 6th.  Probably won't go much further than that though given the team I have...

I know how much time and effort can go into helping to run a site and/or forums. JD is surely a better place thanks to you and your work here, Scott.  ;D My best goes out to you and your family, epecially after reading about your accident.

Glad to hear you'll still be around! After all, you can't let the imposter, ahem, other Matt C. run around here without catching his fair share of crap.  :P  :-*

Like all others before me have mentioned, you're going to be missed but I'm glad you're not leaving for good.  Thanks for all the laughs (mostly at Coleman's expense) and for helping me and so many others out with filling up the holes in our collections.

Best Wishes!!!
Beth

Farewell OCB/Scott...you will be missed, but evidence of your tireless efforts will be seen on this site long after your last post is submitted.
