I was surprised not to see this here already, maybe I missed it.

I got my R4 today and since I love droids I released it from its plastic cage.  To my surprise R4 has a retractable third leg and by far the most original way I have seen it.  You roll his dome one way to retract the leg and the other way to get it back down.

I'm sorry if this was covered already but I just think this is awesome.  I like the clicking sounds because it takes me back.  I like the wheels and I really like the retractable leg via dome rotation. ;D

I think he looks really cool!  Still none in the stores.  Had to order him on Amazon and I'm really looking forward to opening both of them  :D

It is great, isn't it? I guess it's a repaint of the Sneak Prevew R4-G9 as it had that feature. I believe it was the first to have it.  It's great because the leg finally stays all the way in. My Sail Barge Artoo's leg keeps falling out. I hope they repaint it as Artoo early in the TSC line! ;D

Cool, I was wondering about that.  I never found the SP R4, which sucks since I love astro droids.

I am strating to see a few of them in stores now with the correct number on them. The ones with the #68 on them seem to have came and went around here a few weeks or so ago.

I noticed on the crumble package that I had the one that said 68 on it. :-\

Oh well, I do not collect packages or variations.

Nor do I. As someone who opens most of his figures, it kind of pointless for me to do so.

I just saw a several R4s at WM and one of them was the #68 while the rest were #64.   I picked it up and said to myself, "I'm in the military and move every 2 years.  What the freak am I going to do with this?"  I have 2 already and might have picked it up if and opened it just to freak out MOC collectors ;-)
