I don't know if the 3d Star wars will be any good - but I think it solidifies the toy line as alive and well until at least 2010 - a year after the last theatrical release.

so he won't do, nor will he not allow Episode 7 thru 9 to be made, but he'll **** around with the Original Trilogy for a THIRD time? WHAT THE ****!!!!

I don't think I'd look forward to wearing cardboard glasses for two hours, even if it is a Star Wars flick.

True, but I've at least some version on DVD now, so he can't take that away from me.

I think I would enjoy these, because in my mind they would be a supplement to the other versions, not replacing them, like Lucas claims the Special Editions have done.

I like it simply because my newborn will be able to see the films on the bigscreen.  He might be tad bit too young for the one in 07 (2.5 years if it comes out in May).  But if Lucas sticks to one movie per year he should be fine after that.  I was 3 when I saw Star Wars in 77. 

Maybe he can help me play with my loose collection of toys :)

They could uses those plastic, bent glasses they use at DisneyWorld/Land.
