RE #8 - TRAITOR WITHIN
« on: March 23, 2005, 04:24 PM »
Here is part 8 in the series -

TRAITOR WITHIN

War has engulfed the galaxy.  Following the Battle of
Geonosis, the Jedi Order desperately struggles to assist the
Clone Army in holding off the advance of the droid armies
of the Confederacy of Independent Systems.

As the Separatists rage war on the Core Worlds,
Republic Ambassador Tame Heem has become stranded
on the battleground planet of Spahl VII, which
has come under attack by Count Dooku himself.

As the Republic plans a desperate rescue attempt,
little do the Jedi suspect the traitor within…

That's it... next one should be up next week!

Argh. Finally we get it, and I just want more. I really like the direction this is going in.
I feel like it's a seperate chapter of the republic comics that dark horse has put out.
It flows like they do.

Let me know when you want me to send you "Depths of Cholganna" - I am going to make a change or two on it this weekend, but it should be ready to send by Monday night.   :)

Great stuff CHEWIE, I know I'm pretty late in catching up, but I have to do it a bit at a time  :-[
I really like how you nail the dialogue, especially Dooku's, great job on that!  The probe droid viewscreen was a neat touch, I think it would have been cool if you added some static-y/white noise type distortion to the pic.

Some of the pics seem a bit out-of-focus, is that intentional?  I kinda like the way some of the pictures, especially the close-ups in battle are not as crisp as the other, larger images.  It reminds me of the combat situations in Saving Private Ryan where everything gets grainy and hectic.

Thanks Greg for going back and looking at these... hee hee looking back, my pictures were really pathetic back then.  I had a much crappier camera, and didn't spend as much time on them as I do now.  Plus then, my picture editing program was just awful... I'm surprised as many people read these back then.  The pics weren't taken out of focus on purpose, it was my inexperience with them that was the problem.  Something I'm still working on.

I think you're being too hard on yourself, whether it was intentional or not, I really liked the effect that the pictures gave to the overall feel of the story.  The action seemed much more intense that way.   ;D
