Figured I'd start a new thread for the Deluxe Figure sets since the Carded Figure thread is turning into one giant jumble of stuff...

I don't know if I'll get the Kenobi one or not.  It looks awful, but I do like his head sculpt.  May have to buy one for customizing purposes.

Me neither.  However, I am leaning toward getting the Deluxe change to Vader.  Then going for one of the other 2 Anakins if not both.  Hmmmm....

I added Deluxe Grievous to the Image Database. He's actually not bad, but I have no clue which of the Grievous figures so far is the most true-to-film in deco accuracy. They're all over the place.

Have a look, and if anyone has feedback on additional types of photos you'd like to see when I add figures, please let me know. It's just starting up and I'd like ideas. :)

Nice pics...as always....Tydirium.  Quick question on the Grievous...while on the subject of film accuracy that you mentioned as well, how does the deluxe version compare in height to say the preview (or if you have/seen the Collection 1) versions?  For some reason it looks to me that in the movie he can be quite tall, maybe not insane wookiee height ;), but much taller than other characters.  The preview one, while crouching somewhat is no taller than Tion.  I was just curious.  I wasn't originally planning on picking up the deluxe version, but from your pics it doesn't look too bad.

Very nice pics indeed... looks like the best Grievous out of all of them so far.

So the deluxe is essentially the same height as the sneak preview and Wheelbike pack-in versions (if you take into account the straight legs ). Unfortunately I don't have the C1 version to compare to. I'll do more comparison shots once I do.

There's a surprising amount of differences though. The feet are smaller on the deluxe (and missing peg holes), the knees are missing the outward fanning plates that surround the ball-joint, the upper legs are unpainted, there's no swivel articulation at the chest piece, and the medallion in the center of the breastplate is completely different.

I'm wondering about the height difference, too. He seems to tower over Obi in the trailer. But also, when you look at the 60 Minutes material, his animatic version is hunched forward when he's not in "attack" mode, either. It's like Hasbro needs to add a ballsocket torso as well as a levered neck joint to articulate that hunch properly.

I think that's just the "camera" angle

Scott didn't make that animation. It's a cut scene in the movie where Greivous and Obi's break dance fight.

Alliance Collectibles.com has a picture of the Deluxe Darth Vader

This looks pretty amazing, since it's right out of the teaser trailer.  I will be purchasing that for sure!
