The neighborhood kids managed to scrape together a snowman before the sleet/ice started.  Of course I had to pose our littlest one in front of the snowman to make it seem more impressive ;)

Pfft.  No mouth.  6/10 at best.

I meant size-wise, considering our pitiful amount of snowfall.  :P

Speaking of deep freeze, how aboot that Winterpeg forecast!  :P

Holy Crap.

Weather warning for us: a large mass of Arctic Air and winds from the NW ranging from 15-30 KPH (10-20 mph) will cause extreme windchill values in the range of -41 to -44 C.  ******* brr. :o

And here it's just barely below freezing but there's a nice coating of ice.  NICE!

It's freezing!! About -25C in the Twin Cities... translates to -13F... I would swear BSG-style, but not sure if it's allowed.

Actual temperature near the Illinois Wisconsin border was -2oF when I was on my way to Target an hour ago.  It's really too bad they aren't playing the Super Bowl in Soldier Field tomorrow...  I'd like to see the 'Domers' deal with sub zero weather during the game.

Nuh-uh, I've seen it happen, about grade 4 or so.  Someone dared the kid everyone picked on (a Trek fan, so go figure) to do it on the railing outside the community club.  Damn, but he bled a lot.

Y'know, I'm sure in the past it's been this cold, but I honestly don't remember it being -50 C with the windchill ever.  Lots of time in the -40s, but never that 5 as the first digit.  Hell, the cars are plugged in INSIDE the garage :o

-50 C: frostbite can occur in less than 2 minutes :-X

Geez, it's even buggering the cable connection
