And these lists don't even include those that have not been caught and those that have the potential to be offenders.

Maybe I'm paranoid or just being overly safe, but I tend to just think anyone is a potential criminal unless I know them very well. I always hear stories about ministers or cops that are convicted of these heinous crimes. Plus, we live in a crappy area, so it wouldn't surprise me if most of the neighbors were potential criminals.

If anything were to happen to my sisters, at all, I think it would be a dark sad day for whoever hurt them.

Just a quick question I thought I would propose:

What about a registry of spousal and child abusers, including a list of what classes they have taken to remedy it? Like anger managment, and so on? I think it would be fair for the women, and men out there, to be able to know if some one has a history of hitting women or children, especialy those related to them. I grew up in an abusive home for most of my life, till I got out, and I think a registry like this would help alot of people, and possibly help prevent at leasta  few cases from happening.

There's one in the apartment complex just down the street from my building. My roommate usually walks down this road when exercising. If something happened with this prick, I'd be pissed off, since her parents expect me to watch over her.

Zip-zero in 55433. It's a good thing, too, because my apartment complex does background checks, which I am glad to see are apparently through, not to I live 10 feet away from both a middle school/high school, and my complex is crawling with children.
