Pretty In Pink 2: Duckie's Revenge
« on: April 6, 2005, 04:39 PM »
NOTE: If you came in here thinking this thread was about Colman's sweater, you're wrong. You're welcome to stay, but you're still wrong.

Alright, I'm more excited about this over-a-year-away movie than I should let myself be - because there is no way it won't suck. Even with the returning cast.

Director John Hughes has announced that classic '80s movie Pretty In Pink is to get a sequel.

The teen film followed high school student Andie, who developed a crush on the school's new guy, while her friend Duckie, who secretly loves Andie, is forced to step aside.

The sequel, which is planned for a 2006 release, will show fans what has changed for the characters now that their high school days are over. The movie's original stars - Molly Ringwald, Andrew McCarthy and John Cryer - have all agreed to appear.

Hmmm don't know what to think. I never saw Pretty in Pink, was more of a Goonies girl myself. I actually just saw the whole thing a coulple of months ago. Ehh ok story, real 80's that's for sure.

I'd rather see But my favorite teen angst film is definately the Breakfast Club, which I would rather see a reunion of, now that would be cool. To see how each character turned out.

I see Bender as a Congressman!!!! ;D

This can't be for real!

I'm more of a Breakfast Club fan myself.

When it comes to movies, I always favored "Sixteen Candles" over "Pretty in Pink".

Long Duk Dong was the bomb - "No more yankie my wankie. The Donger need food."

But on the other hand, when it comes to songs I have always preferred "Pretty in Pink" by The Psychedelic Furs over any version of the song "16 Candles".

Hmmm...

Are you sure the original story wasn't posted on April 1?

Could be, but it's lived past April 2nd on some reasonably believable sites:

It does sound kind of like a stretch...

Really any John Hughes movie is worth seeing over and over. Out of all of them The Breakfast Club is my favorite. I related to it so well.
