To make a reservation at one of the Major downtwon Hotels tell them it is for a businees trip and you need to make sure you have a room. They will put your name on a list and confirm it before you attend to stay. I know of several people in Indiana and one from Kentucky who did this and they said they have a room reserved.

Cathy who works at the Convention Center said she was told that W.O.C. is blocked in for that week. I take it W.O.C. = Wizards of the Coast?

Things to do in and around Indy:

Perhaps a quick little lunch trip out of town for some of these tasty little delicacies in nearby Evansville...

Cow brain sandwiches still on the menu

Only one thing will get me to attend Celebration III:

The Han Solo Parka Exhibit

If I can get Mr. Sansweet to bring that little coat to Indy, I'll be there. What do you think, Scott? Worth a petition?  ;D

Well Boba either you are lying or someone is lying to you about Wizards Of The Coast involvemnet.

WOTC will not have ANY involvement with C3 it is being ran by Gen-Con LLC

I will double check with Cathy. She told me she was told W.O.C. is marked down for April.
I will let you know what she says again.

If she says anything about WOTC she will be wrong...trust me I KNOW.

You will see the C3 announcement in a couple weeks. The final member of the C3 planning team is now on board. After they settle in a release will be made on the "Offical" site.

good...so then we can book a hotel. So what do you guys want to do?A Jedidefender ''official'' hotel? If so I propose that we take a place that will be less crouded and have easy routes to the convention center, maybe near the freeway and only 5-6 miles out?

And do we want to stay on the North side,South side,East side,or West side?Since it seems that there are a good bit of people here are west of Indianapolis,so maybe we should consider a western location, but the air port is in what part of the city?Maybe we should stay close to there since a large part of the fourms are from the Central/South California area?I don't know, its fun to plan.

Anyone who hasn'y been to a con should probably bring at least double what they expect to bring.C2 was verrry expensive(more expensive than most of the cons I attended)plus if you figure in the crap along the way,it turns to triple to quadrouple with things for the town.So the price tag is about 3000-5000 dollars,so (if you're unemployed or not legally old enough to work)start saving now!!!

I'm going to stay at the Westin, Marriot or Hyatt. Stayed at the Hyatt last time, great place.

And just a note for anyone staying outside of walking distance from C3. It would be best to make sure where you stay has some sort of transportation to the con, or you yourself are willing to drive. Otherwise, you have to call a taxi. Taxis in town will not answer to hailing, it's against city ordinance.

I can't recall the hotel I stayed in last time but when I looked out my window from the 8th fllor I could see the beginning of the line formation...which was, of course, my que to go stand in line at 5:30am :)

That is where I will be staying again.  Never took the car out until we left three days later!!

I stayed at the Marriott, but as of yet I have been unable to reserve a room there or at the place next door. Apparently they can't book that far ahead of time. I have no idea why. I have money. I know the dates. Why is it more difficult than that?   :)
