Got my Maul Saber today!

 8)

Are we supposed to get a membership card or something?  The only thing that came in the box (under the plastic) was the saber, a COA, the stand and clips, and a badge.  There looks like there's a spot for a card, but that was empty.  ::)
The scariest thing that I've ever seen,
Is the terrible AT-AT walking machine.
It's as big as a house on walking legs,
and whatever it steps on it crushes like eggs.

I wish they would make those cases already.  They keep posting "soon" but I don't know if that means the 4th quarter or 2006 :-\.

How 'bout today, Beth.  ;)

Yah, I spotted that last night and ordered four.  I almost passed out when they charged me $9.95 A PIECE for shipping.  But, it's not like I am going to cancel them or anything.   :-\

$10 each on shipping?!  That's completely outrageous...  Maybe I'll wait for some to hit eBay instead.  I dunno.  I may regret it if I wait.

Got my shipping confirmation from MR today on my Maul saber, so it should be here real soon.  That'll mean it's catch-up time on the rest of the ROTS sabers (which you folks still haven't listed out for me yet!).

So how are people going to display the Maul saber?  There's no case that's big enough for it, right?  Hmm...

They will ship in a few weeks.  None were shipped with cards.

Another Heads up for people who need it.  The 2004 Convention Exclusive Obi-Wan "As First Built" Mini-Saber is available on the MR website.

I'm not sure if it's a collector's society or not.
This is the way.

According to the website, you're supposed to get:

o A personalized Membership Card and ID Number
o An exclusive CS 2005 embroidered patch
o The Replica Report featuring behind the scenes on how we make your favorite replicas

On another note, the As First Built By Obi-Wan mini-saber is a CS exclusive.

I'm just glad that I've been able to refrain from the gold, chrome, and BSC versions of these, 'cause those things are completely out of control.  So it's pretty much as I thought, I'm lacking the new 3 Jedi and 3 Sith sabers from ROTS.  Time to play a little catch up.  I trust that none of those are really all that tough to come by right now, right?

Also, for the Vader and Dooku sabers, IIRC, there were some real slight changes made to those sabers, from their previous mini versions, correct?  I'm not buying another identical one to last time...

Matt,

ROTS Vader saber is different and they state that Dooku's is also but I didn't buy it since I have the first one so I can't comment on exactly "what" was changed and how significant it is.

ROTS Vader is definitely different, but I see no difference on Dooku that makes it worth purchasing.

I'm sitting here debating how many of the new mini trio displays to buy.  I bought a generic one off ebay a few months ago that now houses all my Obi-Wan sabers, so I may be able to get away with just getting 1 display case.  Plus it would be $20 for shipping for 2 so that may make my decision for me.

The only real difference between the Dooku ROTS and the AOTC is the color of
the lower 'elbow'.  (which is hardly any difference at all).  BUT, the display stand
will be different, because it doesnt list the saber as belonging to "Count Dooku",
but to "Darth Tyrannus".    Some might say that Dooku should be refered-to by
his SITH name, instead of his JEDI name.  Other than that, its exactly the
same lil widget...

Han shot FIRST. Luke threw TWICE. And it was THX-1138 who wasn't at his post on the big screen back in '77. And I first learned that Vader was Luke's dad in the cinemas at the Tampa Bay Mall in 1980.

I had planned on displaying it behind my Obi-Wan mini-sabers, from over-head it would have a sort of triangle lok to it, but when I ordered the As First Buit Obi-Wan saber the other night, I ended up ordering two of the display cases.  I think now, I'll display it in front of the cases.  I now have to figure out where I'm going to display the ROTS Obi-Wan LE saber I purchased.   :)

I'm rummaging through the Quill catalog's at work right now and seeing what I can find.  I have a client that has his name plaque in a display case on his desk (no idea why) and it's the perfect size for the mini maul.  Since I don't feel like dusting it, I am going to find something for it to sit in.  I'll post more later when I find what I am looking for.

Received my CS Maul Mini-saber today and it's pretty cool looking.

One small comment about it is that it's kind of light compared to the other sabers....I wonder if it's hollow.
