I just read on MSNBC that they have denied his death as of yet. But that it should be any moment, his liver is failing. I shall cry now and pray.

JK and Chewie I'm really sorry to hear about your friends. I do';t know how it s for anyone that close to die but within the last 3 kids that went to my HS have died, one in my graduating class comitted suicide, another had a brain anayrism in his sleep, and another died in a car crash on the way to a school event.

Too bad about the pope, I'm not catholic and I'm not really a church going kind of guy, but still it's too bad. It was bound to happen soon though. Every other pope has died, he wasn't going to live forever like many almost believed, I did sense that in several Catholics that I know. Well he's headed to a better place anyways.

I am not Catholic either, and barely ever go to Church.  But I do consider myself a good Christian with good moral values.  Well, I hope that God thinks I am...

I'm not a catholic by any means but I had a chance to go to a Wednesday morning Mass three years ago in Rome - I'm glad that I did.  As far as Pope's go - he was among the best.

I'm worried that they'll fill his shoes with someone far more conservative though...

Very sad indeed.  I'm not Catholic (actually Protestant), but he's obviously such an important and beloved man the world over, that it's a sad passing for all people, regardless of faith.  May he rest in peace, and may the various Cardinals find a worthy successor to him...
