Interesting news.  I doubt he has had time to do a definitive 6 dics set that we are thinking of.  If he plans to do one at all that is.

He better do the definitive set. If he doesn't, I'll blame the Star Wars community at large for making him release the other prequels before he was ready. >:(

I really want a 6-disc definitive saga but I doubt this is it. I don't think they've had time to do it and it's too soon after the OT DVD release. Lucas knows we'll buy the thing again, but not this soon.

I'll buy ROTS, but I'll hold off on the sets.

"It looks like you can buy the final movie separately, buy the prequels together or buy all six films in a complete set."

Now imagine ROTS isn't released separately from the other 5, and that you have to buy a set of 6 movies to get it  :o

Yeah, that would suck.  I will go for ROTS in Nov.  Hopefully in a few years the "definitive" version will be released and I can plunk a hundred down for that :)

"A two-level playable demo of Star Wars Battlefront II is also included on the DVD."  - That's a nifty lil bonus that I wasn't expecting!

It will be nice to know which deleted scenes will be on the discs when they finally get around to announcing more details.

I'm also curious to see what the (expected) prequel trilogy boxset and 6-part saga boxset look like...

Sweet!

Probably like most people, I suspect the boxsets will be bare bones rereleases of the existing DVDs put in outer boxes, like the LOTR non-extended boxset. Probably a slightly tweaked version of the OT box design. And thus the Sooper Ultra Definitive version would be coming in a year or so.

I guess this means the Clone Wars Volume 2 DVD will not be coming out the same time as ROTS, as some have theorized. :-\

Incidentally, does anyone even buy fullscreen DVDs anymore? Does anyone here buy them?

You may be right.  But is there a really a lot more they could add for "features" to a new set?  Anything in particular you guys might be hoping for?

Hell no!

When I was younger, sure I preferred the fullscreen movies because I didn't realize what I was missing.

Of course, now I'm not missing anything with our 50" widescreen DLP TV.  Tee hee.

Hmm... I think I gotta go home and watch Star Wars tonight.   :)
