Hi All,

I bought an otherwise MOMC Target Vader from an eBay seller in the US but it arrived without the "backing card" which sits in the outer case behind main item.  I'm in the UK so I cannot return the item :(

If anyone may have opened the packaging for one of the "Target Exclusive" Vaders and may be willing to sell the "backing card", I will pay a good price for it!  I've wasted too many hours on this already!

Photos of the exact item I am searching for:

I've searched eBay worldwide & all the completed listings. I've posted messages on countless forums.  Also hit every specialist site possible & googled as many strings I can imagine!

If anyone out there has ANY suggestions of anywhere online I may have missed out, I would be very grateful!

Many thanks,

stone-trooper

I wonder, is the Target Clone's "backing" the same size?  That could help you out...

I MAY have one left from when I opened a Vader, I'll look for it and let you know this evening or tomorrow.

In the meantime, I'm going to move this thread to the classified section. :)

That really sucks.  Did you contact the seller and tell him you wanted a refund since he/she sent you an "incomplete" item?  Or were they unaware of that fact?  I've actually seen some sellers advertising this figure without the backer card as "ultra rare variant" and other such nonsense on eBay, when all you really have to do is pull the backer card out.  Pretty simple, and very deceitful for those not in the know.  :-\

Feel free to bump the Lava Vader thread with a duplicate of your inquiry here, if you'd like.

Best of luck with your search...

I managed to find the one for the Clone Trooper - still looking for the Vader card/Bubble.  Will update when I know.

FOUND IT!

I've got the cardboard backing - and the starcase it came in.

PM me and we'll sort out details.

Thanks to all for your kind suggestions and huge thanks to mr Kneel Before Zod you are a lifesaver!

In response to the questions about contacting the seller, I did try but no replies to emails and at the end of the day over here in the UK it seems all purchases over $18 get customs duties & VAT (value added tax) and this works out to nearly 23% of the total.

This means if I returned the item, I wouldn't get that returned to me and I reckon the seller probably knew that too...

Interesting you mentioning people selling them as rare variants because I did notice that it seemed as though the package had never been opened as there was sticky tape which was on each side edge and the sticker which says "packed in usa" is ontop of the sticky tape meaning the tape was there before it left the factory...?

Anyway, I removed the sticky tape on the 2 side edges to check inner item condition and in my opinion that was the first time this tape had ever been removed.  Maybe there is some truth in that...

Hmm...  That's interesting.  Maybe some of those variations are really legitimate (though still easily forged, for the unscrupulous entrepenuers out there).

Glad to see Rob's still got his backer though, so it looks like you're in good hands now!  8)
