I'm still looking for black hole and LOTR figures for a decent price. The only one that I found so far is Maximillian.

Most if not all of the prototype Droids castings came from Ryan Shaw (bantha5) many moons ago. Greg Glasgow (glasman6) and I would collect them and make casts for each other. If I could find someone that I could trust to make good casts maybe we can start that up again. I wish I could find the Ewok prototype casts. I saw them on ebay one time and never since.

I want this guy:

The good news is there is a custom prototype Chief Chirpa on ebay right now. The bad news is someone upped the bid to over $100. Damm!  Maybe I should put up my extra Gaff?

There is a Jessica Meade and a poorly painted Governor Koong too.

I have a MOC R2-D2 and C-3PO that my dad saved.  Of course my mom cut out the upc for the Boba Fett but I still have them with a hole in the back.  Every other Star Wars toy from my childhood was sold around 1988.

My mom sold all my ships, but I still have all the figures I had as a kid.  A few have been swapped out for upgrades over the years.  My prized possession from childhood is an R5-D4 where the leg snapped off.  My dad drilled a new hole and popped a screw in the leg, essentially creating a removable leg R5.  I remember my buddies at school raving about how cool it was - really a neat, unique item for a kid when most parents probably would have just tossed it away.

My first Star Wars figure was that R2-D2. I found him at Thrifty when my dad and I went in for ice cream after picking out a Christmas tree outside.

Wow Spider! I have built up a lot of vintage carded figures over the years, but I don't have any from when I was a kid.  Very cool to have two nearly mint versions of the droids from your actual childhood.  Thanks for sharing.

Posted this elsewhere a few days ago...  Found these in grams attic this weekend.  Been digging around in her attic for 15 years.  Thought I found ALL my SW stuff I had as a kid over the years.  Guess not, and am pretty excited...neat little find:

The only vintage items that I still have from when I was a child are a Bespin Luke figure, Boba Fett figure, Darth Vader figure, & Yoda with orange snake.  I won't get into how I lost all my other childhood vintage items because it's too painful...

I finally unpacked my vintage collection. It's in our bedroom. I'm still working on finding all the guns. The BSG figures have their accessories.

A year later.. but tell me about the unpainted Yarna?  Looks like Ryan's mold but I've never seen one that wasn't painted.

I still have quite a bit of my childhood figures and ships.  Most are well played with condition.  But I have a Darth Vader case and a case full.  A few mini-rigs and ships.  The X-wing is the saddest of the bunch.
