This is probably a dumb question, but I haven't kept up on these 100%, and I was curious how many (which ones) of these FX sabers there are?  I'd really like to get one, eventually, but due to the price being $100+, I just want to choose one to have.  I saw on Wal-Mart.com they seem to have an Anakin and also a Vader saber, are there any others that are out?  Luke or Obi-Wan as well?  Also, where is the best place to pick these up?  Thanks for any info.

Edit:  I also see via MR's website that they have a Luke saber listed as well, release date of this summer.

Brent,

Jeff is one of the best people to deal with on the web.  His Mace Saber is the best price I've seen and if he doesn't ship to Canada (I know its free shipping in the USA), I can order it for you and ship it to me and then forward it on to you.  You'd only have to pay the actual shipping cost from me to you.

Oh dear, we have the same questions going on in three different threads, mostly my bad.  There's fx questions in the official MR thread, then one done in Watto's.

There are to the best of my knowledge five that were released that required six batteries and had varying degrees of electronics (i.e. the blade lit up entirely, or the light moved up the blade; also the quality of the sounds was somewhat variable.

The first five were:

Anakin AOTC blue blade
Darth Vader ANH
Luke Skywalker ESB blue blade
Luke Skywalker ROTJ green blade
Mace Windue AOTC purple blade

The new sabers being released from the MR site are:
Anakin ROTS blue blade
Vader ESB red blade
Luke ESB blue blade

All three are the "improved" electronics.
plus the Mace saber is being re-released apparently, but I'm not quite certain which version it is: six battery or three.

A nifty link courtesy of Beth in the proper thread is right here Thanks again Beth :)

These come with stands, but was wondering if anyone makes stands to hold multiple sabers?

Yes someone has made stands to hold multiple ones.  It's like a pool cue rack.  I never got one since I didn't want my sabers displayed that way and am looking into buying a baseball bat rack.  I've seen a set displayed that way and that's the best one, IMHO.

If you need more info, just drop me a pm.

How about a gun rack?

Wouldn't that work?

I tried mine on one that my in-laws have and the saber doesn't lay straight.  One would think it would work but the "arms" are very far away from one another and the saber lays at a funny angle.  It could be due to the type of gun rack but I don't know that much about rifles.  All I know is this particular one didn't work but maybe a different type would.

If you're good with woodworking, this is something that would be a good project.  My father just made a rack for some rifles of his and I'm pondering a rack for FX Sabers now myself.  Be a worthy investment if I'm nabbing more than one saber, which after this one I'm feeling an overwhelming urge to pick up at least different colored ones (A Vader maybe, a Jedi Luke, and a Mace)...

These are great though.  :)

I don't know if these would work, but Parksabers makes a display stand for their sabers that holds the blade.

I don't know if the FX blade is detachable or not, but if so, they could be an option.
This is the way.

I have spoken.

The Mace is the old version 6 battery. It is in an updated box.

I hear ya.  Now, if only they would re-release that Green Luke Saber.  I really dig the hilt on it.

I was reading a interview with MR and they will not be doing a Dooku or Yoda saber :'(  Because of the shape and size of both hilts, it would be hard to do the electronics.  Plus, they thought that the Dooku saber would not be popular. ???

OK, I merged the FX Sabers topics all together again...

It was hurting my brain to watch you guys have the same conversations in 3 different spots.   :P

Carry on!

If you haven't been into your local Best Buy recently, you might want to swing in and do some snooping around. Most (not all) Best Buys are carrying the FX Anakin (EP3) and Darth Vader (EP5) FX Lightsabers. Each are $120, and they are also carrying the .45 scale as well.
I have been told to go to hell; well at least I will know everyone there!
