Well, I guess his turn could have started about when Luke confronted him on Endor. Then maybe all that love he used to have towards Luke kinda came back and then he decided to sacrifice his own life for his son's.

Good enough.  Yes.  Watching the emperor destroy Luke Skywalker, his only son, was what made Darth Vader find redemption and made him destroy Emperor Palpatine and fulfill the prophecy, or should I say prove the prophecy was true that he, Darth Vader, once Anakin Skywalker, was the chosen one.  Roton7, you're up.
