TRU 2-pks

Looks like TRU is starting to bundle up some of their Star Wars figures and selling them as 2pks at $8.97 or some price around that. Saw this in a thread at Scum but not in person yet.
Good idea to me, though I'd rather see them cut their price to $4.00 a figure or something for a week... or Buy 2 get 1 free...

I'll have to make trip to TRU sometime soon then. Hopefully they'll have some variety to them, like maybe a Jedi and a Clone, or better yet, 2 clones.

Drat. When I saw the title I was hoping you meant 2-packs with bonus clone or droid figures like the CW Wal-Mart exclusives.
If they aren't going to do anything original like that, it seems like a better idea to simply go on sale or do a 3-for-price-of-2 type promotion like Chewie mentioned....

Hmmm, sounds interesting... Glad I skipped out on a LOT of stuff yet... I should be able to pick some stuff up for cheap if this is happening everywhere... Explains where those big ass bins of random figures went too.

Whatever gets rid of old stock. Regular people will be more inclined to buy them if they think they're getting a deal. I'll just be waiting to see the Bail/Bail two packs.

I have come close to buying the Neimodians but just have not yet. To be honest that 2 pack would work on me. I remember Kay-Bee had 4 packs of Saga figures. I wonder if some chain will do that with ROTS?

What would be nice is if they do this the smart way and chose the combos well. Things like:
Bail & Mas
Clone & Battledroid
Obi-Wan & Anakin
3PO & R2
Neimoidian Warrior & Wookiee Warrior
Clone & Clone
Et cetera.
But I admit that's a lot of hassle so what I think will happen is they'll have the kids in the back of each store just sticking them together at random:
Mas & Battledroid
Aayla & Neimoidian
Bail & Bail
Dooku & Wookiee
And so on.

I ran into someone who said they actually saw this.

As long as the figures were two I didn't have in my carded collection, I'd buy them.
I'm surprised to see some clearances already, to be perfectly honest. Though I haven't seen these in my area yet, I hope to.

These have finally show up at my TRU. Nice to see some method to the madness, lots of the same pairings. Too bad they're not taking them out of the same store though.
