Figure Fun Facts!
« on: July 5, 2005, 02:57 PM »
This might be lame, but then again...

The "500" Vader figure got me to pondering all kinds of crazy things and though it might be fun if everyone shared all kinds of pointless trivia about the figures. For example, the 500 Vader is the 26th 3 3/4" Vader sclupt/paint varient:

Double Telescoping
Regular Vintage
POTF2
SOTE 2-pack
FX
Final Duel
Board game
FF removable Helmet
Complete Galaxy
Gunner station
Comm Tech
25th Anniversary/C3
Dagobah
Emperor's throne room
MOTS/HOF
Flashback
Toy Fair
Bespin
Imperial forces
Throne room duel
TRU silver
VOTC
Lava
ROTS
Deluxe
500 Vader

Not including packaging variations.

What have you got? Mix it up a little.

Vintage
POTF2
Sand Skimmer
Purchase of the Droids Cinema Scene
Blast Shield Helmet
Gunner Station
Flashback
Landspeeder
T-16 Skyhopper
Early Bird Wal-Mart Exclusive

That is all I can remember right now.  There are at least 10 of them.

I actually sat down a few weeks ago and counted up some of these figures, and it was kind of entertaining.

Based on actual screen time versus amount of figures made, Darth Maul is the main character with the least time on screen and least costume changes to have the most amount of figures made of him, and at least three of those have been pure Expanded Universe:

-Jedi Duel Darth Maul
-Tatooine Darth Maul
-Sith Lord Darth Maul
-Trophy Edition Darth Maul
-Deluxe Darth Maul (Episode I)
-Sith Speeder Darth Maul
-Sith Attack Speeder Darth Maul
-Sith Speeder Game Darth Maul
-Holographic Darth Maul
-Tatooine Showdown 3-pack Darth Maul
-Final Lightsaber Duel 2-pack Darth Maul
-Theed Generator Duel Darth Maul (POTJ)
-Sith Apprentice Darth Maul (EU)
-Sith Training Darth Maul (EU)
-MOTDS/Saga Darth Maul
-Deluxe Darth Maul with Droid (POTJ)
-Battle Packs Darth Maul
-Evolutions Darth Maul

So, basically, it took that many figures before Hasbro put one out that was perfect.  I guess we won't be getting a perfect Mace Windu anytime soon now.  :)

Dispite the constant re-issuing of Cantina Han -

POTF2 Boba Fett has the most documented U.S. card and figure variations (including porduction errors) at 49.

Here's a fun fact:

Following the upcoming release of the final figure from the ROTS line (#56), Hasbro's 4" Star Wars figure line will consist 100% of nothing be hehashes.  That's 0% all-new product for the mathematically challenged out there...

Here's another fun fact:  Hasbro sucks.

Here's a fun fact:

Following the upcoming release of the final figure from the ROTS line (#56), Hasbro's 4" Star Wars figure line will consist 100% of nothing be rehashes.  That's 0% all-new product for the mathematically challenged out there...

Here's another fun fact:  Hasbro sucks.

Here's another fun fact: Matt will be ripping an unsuspecting Hasbro rep a new one during the panel discussion in about 24 hours!

Here are some more "fun" facts:

1) Hasbro has cancelled the Unleashed line!
2) Hasbro has cancelled the Force Battler line! (getting a jump on having to make another post in October)
3) Hasbro has decided not to move forward with the "Titanium Forged" Figure/Statue line due to no retailer interest (another fact for the future, let's say Feb 2006 when this line doesn't even exist by the time Toy Fair rolls around)

Here's a fun fact... at the current pace, the #1 Obi-Wan and #2 Anakin will eventually pass CommTech Cantina Han as the most re-packaged figure of all time!

CommTech/Cantina Han:
1 - CommTech carded
2 - 2003 Saga carded
3 - 2004 HoF carded
4 - 2004 OTC carded
5 - Sam' Club OTC Falcon Pack-In
6 - C-3PO Carry Case Pack-In
7 - Target Figure w/Cup set

That's not counting how many Han figures there are, that's JUST how many times that particular sculpt has been used!

Here are the stats on #1 Obi and #2 Ani:

RotS #1 Obi-Wan Kenobi:
1. RotS Basic Carded
2. Target Figure w/Cup Set
3. TRU Blue Starfighter Pack-In
4. Target "Lava Reflection" repaint

RotS #2 Anakin Skywalker:
1. RotS Basic Carded
2. TRU Green Starfighter Pack-In
3. Temple Raid 5-Pack version
4. Target "Lava Reflection" repaint

FYI … Han was carded twice for the OTC… He was #07 & 05/14 (of the transitional wave) ;D

Hasbro's 4" Star Wars figure line will consist 100% of nothing be hehashes

Hehashes? Is that a typo or some sort of new slang for multiple released versions?
