I really hope Hasbro does this one right. I would like to see one with a Sidious hologram, if nothing else.

I'm in the exact same boat as you... I am kind of surprised we haven't seen this figure yet.  Hopefully it will show up in the 2006 line...

Also, I hope they give him the royal treatment when they do make him.

Welcome to this site BTW, I think you'll like it here.  Feel free to ask questions, give your opinions, etc.  And check out the customizing section as well with the photonovel threads, and don't forget to introduce yourself in the Newbies section.   :)

GH is saying Hasbro confirmed Cody, for next year I guess.  That must mean there'll be a Utapau themed wave, which hopefully means we'll get Fox and the Utapau Clone, too.

I concur. I think Cody had a more prominent role in this movie than half the figures that came out since 4/2. It's surprising that Hasbro didn't make him one of the original 56!

I think the #56 Obi-Wan Pilot figure has lots of articulation (at least according to the animation on Hasbro's Action Arena web site).

Darth Vlad - I think that hasbro hasn't made a Commander Cody yet because they don't want to retool any of the current molds.  I'm not sure why we received a Commander Bacara before a Commander Cody, but that's another story...
The scariest thing that I've ever seen,
Is the terrible AT-AT walking machine.
It's as big as a house on walking legs,
and whatever it steps on it crushes like eggs.

...or a red clone commander that wasn't in the movie, and a green repaint for that matter...

Well, we got the #33 Red Clone Commander because when Hasbro was working on the figure line-up for RotS that is what Commander Bly looked like according to the Official Site Database.  #33 was going to be Bly.

Then, we got the #33 Green Clone Commander because it was an easy re-paint and Hasbro has proven that's what Fall will be all about for RotS - easier than a new sculpt.

Now we know the truth!!!

I can see it now...

"Entertainment Earth presents the newest Star Wars Christmas Commemorative Figures!  In cooperation with Hasbro, EE is pleased to announce that we will be the exclusive retailer for a two pack of Clone Commanders in holiday colors!  Using the sculpt of the ROTS Clone Commander's red and green variants, Hasbro has added even more new paint applications* to these great figures, and included a display base and little plastic boxes to ring in the holiday season!  Only 35.99!  Complete your Christmas Empire today!"  ;D

*the new paint applications would consist of red and green eye slit things instead of the normal black.

On the subject of Cody, I'm going to go on record here with what I would want (although I'm having trouble figuring out where Hasbro is going to put him if he's not in any of the "battles" they're using as the basis for next year's waves:

-Super Articulated body (a given)

-Removable Helmet (again, I'd think this is a given)

-Palpatine hologram (this would be along the lines of the Dooku DS Hologram from the Geonosian War Room Saga set; if it won't be steady enough without warping his hand so he can't hold weapons, they can do the hologram as part of Cody's hand, and make that hand interchangable with the other, gun totin' hand)

-Obi-Wan's lightsaber hilt
