"The Recycling of the Force" -- article by Ron Salvatore
http://www.toysrgus.com/images-speci/recycle/

This information is likely old hat to most of you Vinty collectors, but I got a kick out of it. Particularly the section on the Ewoks/Prince of Thieves toys--I'd previously read about those reuses, but it was neat to read more details and see comparison photos. :)

Discuss.

I'm not a hardcore vintage collector, but I love that site. There's just so much off-the-wall stuff there, plus the guys know what they're talking about, unlike some SW sites. ;)

That was a great article!  Very interesting!  ;D

I really liked the Gamorrean Guard/Friar Tuck!  ;)

Is the terrible AT-AT walking machine.
It's as big as a house on walking legs,
and whatever it steps on it crushes like eggs.

More goodies:

Unused concepts and mockups, including extremely tantalizing proposals for the 1985-86 timeframe that would have continued the saga post-ROTJ. (!)

Other unrealized prototypes and other concepts (not quite as exciting as the first set, mainly alternates of existing characters and toys such as rocket-firing Boba).

BTW, a little Googling revealed the robed figure loose and carded. :)
