The football mag I nailed has been a godsend. The stats have stayed pretty much the same from what I can tell, and I have a very decent team this year.

Kevin

Very Decent will be just about good enough for 4th place.

You should have been trying to put together a top-tier team like me.   :-*

I sent the names of the participants to Dale.  He'll be picking the order for the draft and posting it in this thread.  Don't ever trust a Canadian ;)

Oh, great.  I guess I'm picking last.   >:(

What about me?  ???

I'm waiting on a PM from Brent, I do not follow this thread but I looked it over and it appears Ryan's name was not given to me.  :-\

Guess that would make it 11 names or is there more?

If Brent made a boo boo, then the picks I drew will be null and void and a new draw will be made.

Uh, oh.  Something's up.  Do we actually have 11 guys?   ???

This was the first list:

1. Brent
2. Jesse
3. Scott
4. Jeff
5. SLC (sorry, don't remember your real name :-[)
6. Rob
7. Jason

And this was the 2nd list:

Brent = central
Jeff = central
Scott = central
Mikey = eastern (1 hour or 2?)
Jamie = central?
Rob = central
Kevin = eastern
Jason = pacific
JesseV = ****** up Saskatchewanian
JesseJ = eastern

I'm not trying to be a jerk, I just thought it might be easier for us to figure out where something when wrong.  Honest.   :-\

No, it's all good.  I substituted in JesseJ for Ryan's name while I was hurrying at work to send this off to Dale.  That's all.  I think.

Ryan will draft fourth.  I'm going to go back and check the thread to see if Jesse James signed up.  I think I just had a senior moment cross pollinating hockey threads.

We're still at a loss for when to start this thing.

If we do live, we're waiting until September 01 or later.

If we are doing the same as the football draft here, I'd suggest we start as soon as the football draft is over.  That would help allow for Jesse's vacations and Scott's move.

I see tremendous appeal in a Yahoo draft.  It saves me a ton of time entering teams after the draft is over.  It gets done very, very fast and is over - no waiting on people for picks.

I also see tremendous advantages to the slower (than molasses in January) type of draft.  It's good for the newbs, we get more time for the last signings to occur and possibly pick up some more information.  Starting this weekend is early, but there's not that much strategy in the first couple of rounds.  We're in no hurry at this point.  We'd have about five weeks to get it done.

If we do go this way though, I want people to indicate when they will be online or if they'll have difficulty getting online within a certain time period, say 8-12 hours.  I might instigate a rule that gives the highest ranked yahoo player available if someone isn't online and hasn't made their pick in the alotted time.  That would of course be suspended and not enforced with proper notification of a delay(Jesse's vacation and Scott's move are, of course, excepted).  Jesse and Scott could also email a round or two of picks to someone during that time if they were so inclined.

So, let's vote again:

1. Yahoo one night mad house draft

2. Brent's getting older by the day slowly JD online draft

Pick one.  No abstentions.
