I'd have no problem trying either style of league next year, but I'm pretty laid back when it comes to leagues.  I know I won't win, but I'm still trying my damnedest to fight for sixth and it's great to watch the battle for 2nd place - 4 points separate 3 guys.  Just because I'm not fighting for first doesn't mean I'm not having fun.

From what I've seen, Jason seems to be the only one that has a problem with the points based league (at least, the only one whose expressed his concern), so it seems unfair to completely change the league because one person is unhappy with it.  My 2.35 cents (Canadian exchange  ;)).

We'd have to vote on it.  My 2 cents is based on years of having competed in fantasy leagues and having played both formats.  I also base that on looking around at the flawed points based leagues that have been put together here at JD.  The only way to get it right, in my opinion, is to eliminate points from the equation and just go on stats.

Why don't we just set up two leagues and enter the same draft into both and see what happens with the results in each - a season-long experiment of sorts...  :P

And yeah, Brent - congrats.

My team seems to be dead in the water... at the worst possible time of the year ::)

You know, that's actually an interesting idea.

Just because no one reads anything you have to say doesn't make you irrelevant does it?

Oh. Wait...  :-X

I think your teams forgot they were supposed to be making up a point a day over these last 50 days.  :-*

I don't know what happened to my team, but after we started that conversation they gave me a day or two's worth of hope before crumbling off the face of the planet.... Demtira and Frolov get injured again, Belfour out for the year... McCabe never got back to the level that he was at before his extended injury... Alfresson cooled off considerably compared to how he was before the olympics...

Blah.  I'm just hoping that they can pull out enough points to get back into the top 3.

Brent's team has flown past me, but not for long.  He's far shorter on games than I am so I expect to finish in second barring a total meltdown.
