Don't go making room in your trophy case just yet.  I'm expecting 5 goals and 5 assists from every skater on my team for the next several days.

Argh - forgot (for the first time in 3 weeks) to make sure I had available goalies plugged in - threw away a W from Fluery.  With things as tight as they are that could end up being a costly mistake.   >:(

I'm a little miffed with the Canadians.  That's three straight games with Aebischer.  What?  Huet isn't good enough? >:(

I'm slowly falling back and don't see myself catching up now.

Yeah, Brent's a little over on games, but he's getting to the point where his lead means it might not matter.

I love it... here's the 'scoop' on Robert Esche:

Apr 14 Esche will start on Saturday, while Antero Niittymaki will be in net on Sunday in New Jersey, according to the Flyers' Official Site.
Recommendation: Adjust your lineups accordingly.

So what happens?  Niittymaki gets the win 4-1 and I lose a chance to plug a different goalie in.   >:(

Probably safe to congratulate Jeff on winning Year one of JD Fantasy Hockey.  Thank goodness it was someone from Minnesota, that's almost like Canada anyway. ;)

Yeah, why don't we just annex them and be done with it.  That way we'll still have 10 provinces when Quebec leaves.  ;D

Congrats Jeff.  Game well played.  8)

Hell, we could have congratulated Jeff in December.  He's had it wrapped up forever (one main reason I'm pushing for a different format next year.)  Also congrats to Brent for rising from the dead of the middle of the pack to blitz past us to snag second.  Now the only drama left is who gets third (yet another reason why I'm pushing for a format change.)

Looks like you edged me by a point - congrats.  I knew that goalie slip up I made a week or so ago would end up costing me.   Hell, tonight I had to pick two defensement to play, I picked McCabe and Pitkanen - if I'd just picked Timonen I'd have tied you or taken third... even though I'm sure we all have lots of similar goofs or calls that we'd love to take back.

Nice work everyone.

Now if Grahamme or Burke can just figure out how to stop shots for the playoffs...  ::)

Weird - it looks like Jokinen got an extra assist somewhere since I last posted - but I don't see any stat corrections listed.

Oh well, I'll take it.  It's nice to have an extra trophy in the old Trophy Case even if it is just a bronze.

Looks like I'll be adding a Silver after tonight too.

I just needed two more months.

I personally blame Jagr for this.  When you drafted him, I chuckled.  I had him lumped in with Hull, Lemieux and Roenick as guys that would retire during the season.  Definitely wrong on Jagr.  Guy that won our office pool picked him too.  I laughed then and I ain't laughing now.  Thornton being traded also helped out a lot.
